The John D. Sperry Podcast

Laddin gets back from Pluto Station to discover that his entire life has changed. Hear about how emotional I get when I read this chapter to my 7th grade students, and we have another installment of "What's Good In Audio." Get your Kleenex ready because this one's a tear-jerker.

On this episode of Full Request Interview Special, I have the privilege of speaking with Regency Spy/Romance author Laura Beers. Laura is the author of more than 20 novels despite only being in the writing game for two and half years and has enjoyed great success in her genre. Join us as we talk about writing, publishing, and so much more. Laura can be found at authorlaurabeers.com and on social media at Laura Beers. Her books are available in digital formats and can be found on AMazon.com and at your nearby brick and mortar bookstore.

Laddin finds himself in transition with a little help from his ... friend? I talk a little bit about religion in sci-fi and how I like to keep the plot moving when there needs to be a transition.

Laddin finds himself in an uncomfortable situation on enemy ground, and Zade will stop at nothing until she finds out what happened to Laddin. Find out why I was so proud of myself writing these chapters, and how I feel about sub-plotting.

Another Double Feature! In Chapters 9 & 10, Laddin gets himself into a bit of a pickle, he falls deeper in love with a girl her hardly knows, and we talk about where Kimber came from and why Laddin might be so into her.

Laddin In Space! Part II. Laddin arrived at Pluto Station and has to get through a few obstacles before he can even get started finding the LAMP. I talk a little bit about my feelings on easy solutions to conflict, and you find out just how much I really know about all that tech jargon.

This is Full Request, an interview special created monthly featuring authors and their writing experiences. This episode features a great friend of mine, Patrick Hartsfield. Patrick is a YA author who finds his niche in a high fantasy/sci hybrid style of writing. On this episode of Full Request, he shares his experiences with writing and querying.

Laddin in SPACE! Laddin embarks on what he considers a suicide mission to retrieve the fabled Link Access Manipulation Program. I discuss some of the minutia of this book, and I introduce "What's Good in Audio", a periodic feature where I share something I've really enjoyed listening too lately.

Laddin finds himself neck-deep in trouble as he is arrested and taken into custody by none other than the Sultan himself.

As we get more and more into Laddin's dilemma, I've decided to give my loyal listeners a treat! Today, you will get two chapters in one episode! Enjoy Chapters 5 and 6 as things really start to heat up!

We've met the characters, we've had the exposition. It's time for the conflict to meet the action! Laddin finds out what Malik thinks of his mecha and there's something about Zade.
