The President or Dr. Fauci?

In response to armed, right-wing protesters—some without masks—packing the Michigan capitol building on Thursday in a rally against the state’s coronavirus lockdown, President Donald Trump praised the occupiers and urged Governor Gretchen Whitmer to bend to their will. “The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people,” Trump tweeted Friday.

The Canadian government on Friday announced an immediate ban on some 1,500 makes and models of “military-grade” assault weapons, including two models used by the gunman who killed 22 people last month in rural Nova Scotia during the country’s deadliest mass shooting.

A journalist who covered Vice President Pence's visit to the Mayo Clinic this week says Pence's office punished him after revealing that visitors were told to wear masks on the trip — a rule the vice president didn't follow. Pence faced criticism for forgoing a mask during the visit, which violated Mayo Clinic policy and the government's own guidance.

Members of Mr. Biden’s staff from that period have denied that Ms. Reade expressed any complaints about Mr. Biden, and they reject the idea that the office tolerated any harassment.

The White House is preventing Dr Fauci from testifying before congress.
