Music fans - watch out for this cancer scam! Members of the band The Tragically Hip are warning fans that scam websites are selling fake merchandise online and pretending the money will be donated to Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research.

-Many think tonight's radio and television debate will be make-or-break for the three party leaders.  It comes as BC NDP leader John Horgan appears to be riding high in the polls in his fight with BC Liberal leader Christy Clark.
In last week's first debate, some commentators thought Horgan was rattled when Clark touched his arm and told him to "calm down".

-Following the Monday night announcement of softwood, the Canadian dollar hit a 14-month low yesterday.  But will the tariffs kickstart negotiations between the two countries?

Premier Christy Clark says she will be meeting with Cabinet tomorrow, amid word the gloves have come off in the Softwood Lumber dispute wiht the U.S.  U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters Monday to expect a 20 per cent tariff on softwood lumber being sold to the U.S.

The tariffs have been anticipated since last week when Trump launched a barrage of criticism against Canada’s dairy, energy and lumber sectors.  The expected announcement from the U.S. Commerce Department on countervailing duties — a type of import tax meant to counter a subsidized export — is just the latest in the ongoing Canada-U.S. softwood row, which stretches back to the 1980s.
