Hillary Clinton says the latest FBI email investigation will show "there is no case here." The latest RealClearPolitics average of national polls shows her leading Donald Trump by just over three points. That is the closest margin in a month. Clinton's average lead was nearly six points before the new FBI probe was reported.

The FBI reportedly spent several months investigating Russia's potential meddling in the U.S. election and found no direct link to Donald Trump. According to the New York Times, law enforcement officials examined ties between Trump's business and a Russian bank. They also looked at a former Trump campaign chairman's long relationship with pro-Russian officials in Ukraine, but they uncovered no clear evidence.

Two federal ministers have visited the spill site near Bella Bella for the first time since a tug boat ran aground almost three weeks ago.  On-scene commander with the Heiltsuk First Nation Jess Housty says they ministers should have arrived sooner.  The Province newspaper's Michael Smyth is here with his take on the day's headlines.

In its public relations quest to get Vancouverites onboard, Airbnb is out with a new study touting the benefits of the short-term rental site on the local economy.  The new report says that Airbnb guests and hosts generated $402 million in local economic activity in Vancouver in the past year.

FBI investigators obtained a search warrant and are reviewing thousands of emails found on a laptop used by Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of Hillary Clinton's longtime aide, Huma Abedin.
