The Josh Baker Podcast

It's a real privilege to welcome my man Gene On Earth for this episode.

I met Gene in January 2020 when he came to play for my You&Me party and really hit it off whilst we enjoyed quite the session to make the introduction.

I'm a real admirer of everything he's creating including the Limousine Dream and Sound Of Limo label, his merchandise and more recently his https://www.nug-net.com production course.

Gene has also added a discount code for anyone that wants to check out his course.

Use code SYNTHO for 20% off - expires July 31st.

It was a pleasure to get to know the Croatian artist Mariano Matejlan! I have been a huge fan of his label U-dig for some years now and we share quite a few mutual friends so it was fun to have him on the podcast sharing his outlook on both djing, production and more.

He shares some great stories about the parties he does in Croatia, how he likes to run his label and also what life is like in Croatia.

Let me introduce to you 'Thinking Out Loud' the new series inside The SYNTHO Podcast with my great friend Joe Walker aka BYB Coaching. He is a personal trainer and online coach who helps people change their lives.

Me and Joe have a friendship spanning almost 15 years and both share a love for fitness, personal development, productivity and all that jazz.

In this first episode we chat about the increasing use of mobile phones, how to get a better nights sleep, being productive not busy and also what we think about £3 coffees.

As titled 'Thinking Out Loud' these are very open discussions so don't hold us ransom to everything we say.

It was so much fun to chat to my man Luuk Van Dijk for the 23rd episode. Luuk's energy is infectious and I love what he is doing both musically and marketing himself online. We have a really great chat about his early influences, how the scene in in Holland and a whole lot more.

So it's taken my a while to jump on a solo podcast but here we are sharing how my life has changed since the pandemic.

I thought it would be a good time to explain the journey over the last 18 months for any new followers and also give people an understanding of what SYNTHO is.

Hopefully this is interesting anyway, feedback is VERY welcome.

WHO AM I: I'm Josh, a DJ/Producer/Teacher based in Manchester, UK. I make videos about music, productivity and life.

Prolific producer DJOKO is my guest for this episode of The SYNTHO Podcast.

Me an DJOKO connected a few years ago when he reached out to me to do a remix for him but had never properly spoke until we recorded this. It was great to discover his early influences in which we have a huge cross over and also his general outlook on music production and life.

He also sent me some beats following this chat and he's got some real fire in the tank and I have no doubt his career is going to continue to explode!

We're now 20 episodes deep and true gent Seb Zito joins me for the occasion.

Well known for his long standing residency with FUSE, Seb has really spread his wings over the last few years releasing on some of the biggest labels in world including Hot Creations, Edible and Saved to name a few.

His label Seven Dials has also been going from strength to strength where he finds a happy medium between killer house vibes and naughty garage.

In this chat we talk about his new album which came out on Eats Everything's Edible, what it's like to play all over the world while doing 8 months sober, how he juggles studio time with a new born and much more.

Really grateful to catch up with Archie Hamilton on this episode of the podcast.

Our friendship goes quite a way back after he played for my You&Me party 5 years ago and  ever since then I have followed his journey closely and it's been amazing to see his career continue to reach new heights.

In this chat we talk all about the moments that helped Archie break through, the influences in his sound and the pressures of being a professional.

This is a must listen for everyone.

The first non-DJ guest features on the podcast in the form of Socially Sound owner Andrew Leese. Andrew caught my attention earlier this year when he launched the 'The Socially Sound Blueprint' newsletter which features incredible case studies built my Andrew himself on marketing in music.

Behind every great brand is a whole host of important figures that keep the wheels in motion and Andrew has worked some of the biggest brands in the world during his career, such as FUSE, IMS, Ibiza Spotlight and many more.

He now turns his attention to 'Socially Sound' a platform 'helping DJ's think like marketers 1% more each day.

During this podcast we discuss the important of having an online presence, the effects the pandemic had on how huge brands market themselves and what he is offering through socially sound.

Below you'll find links to his socials where you can subscribe to his incredible newsletter.
