This Sunday is DEBT-FREE Sunday at The Journey. As we continue our Fall series called The Generosity Secret – I’ll be sharing with you Biblical principles to help you GET OUT and STAY OUT of debt.

I know you feel it too. The feeling is strong within all of us. And everything in society feeds this insatiable desire. That’s right . . . the DESIRE to ACQUIRE. And when we aren’t satisfied with God’s blessings and have to have more and more stuff – it leads to some really negative outcomes . . . like DEBT and GREED and watching our money go bye-bye. So – how do we escape the clutches of this devious enemy called materialism? The Biblical secret is . . . generosity.

There are some myths that are harmless. For instance…if I touch a toad I’ll get warts. Or if I drop a penny off the top of the Empire State Building it might kill someone. Neither is true. But by believing those myths the worst you will get is an unnatural aversion for picking up frogs! But there are some myths – if you buy into them – that do hurt you. They keep you from growing spiritually and from living the life God has for you.
