We are back with another week in the series, “The Journey Deeper”, in which we are exploring spiritual disciplines that we as believers can discover and implement in our lives. This week’s sermon was all about Scripture. Pastor Jeni took us through several passages in Scripture to remind us of the goal of Scripture and what Scripture is and is not. Things to consider as you listen:

• God’s Word is not our “how-to” guide for life. It’s our “who-is-God” manual that informs who we become.

• Knowing God has to be our goal for reading Scripture.

• The life of Jesus is the lens through which we read the Old Testament.

• Scripture leads us to salvation.

• Scripture teaches & corrects us.

• Scripture gives us wisdom & discernment.

• Scripture prepares & equips us for every good work.

• Scripture gives us hope.
