Second of all, I have first-hand experience as to how mental health, trauma, and addiction has ripped through 3 generations of my own family. Often we are raised the same way as the generation previous, which perpetuates the cycle of dysfunction in families, UNLESS we consciously choose to heal the pain from our family or choose to bring up our children differently.
