Recently featured in Zone Magazine as one of their “One’s To Watch”, Strike One is an award-winning DJ and producer who has been spreading his sound far and wide from his small town roots in Cumbria.
He first made his mark on the scene after entering and winning two successive national DJ competitions which lead him to play at Kendal Calling festival alongside Richy Ahmed and Route 94 and then sent him overseas to make his international debut at Rise Festival in the French alps on a line up which included industry giants such as Camelphat, Annie Mac and Sonny Fodera.
The pace continued throughout last year which proved to be his biggest yet. Kicking the year off by making his festival main stage debut at a sold out Snowboxx festival where he opened up for Craig David and Kelli-Leigh. An invite to play at the official closing party for Brighton Music Conference lead to him playing at The Arch with house music pioneers David Morales and Marshall Jefferson.
His work rate continued right throughout the summer with appearances at festivals such as Solfest and Tramlines, where he opened up for Radio 1's Danny Howard, and the season was finally capped off by making his debut on the white isle of Ibiza, playing at Pure Nightclub and the legendary Ibiza Rocks Bar. Ending the year on a high, he travelled down to play at one of the most iconic venues in the world, the Ministry of Sound in London.
With a style inspired by masters of the craft such as Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez and DJ EZ, he has become known for his energetic style of mixing and ability to transfer his passion for the music onto the dance floor.
After spending years nurturing his skill on the local club circuit, in 2018 he launched his own club night named Elements in his home town of Barrow-in-Furness. Now known as the stand out event in the calendar, Elements regularly features artists from up and down the country as well as giving local artists their time to shine.
His relentless drive doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon and his passion for the art form and hours spent in the studio means that there will be plenty of chance to hear the sound of Strike One in the near future!
