On November 1, 1911 ‘Abdu’l-Bahá gave a talk on the two natures of man, explaining that “In man there are two natures; his spiritual or higher nature and his material or lower nature. In one he approaches God, in the other he lives for the world alone. Signs of both these natures are to be found in men. ”

On October 21, 1911, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá spoke to a small group of friends about the pitiful causes of war, and the duty of everyone to strive for peace. He said, I charge you all that each one of you concentrate all the thoughts of your heart on love and unity. When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love.  Also in this podcast is the story of Thomas Breakwell, as told from the perspective  of May Maxwell.

‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s last public address in London was delivered at the Theosophical Society on September 30, 1911. Mrs. Annie Besant, the renowned president of the Society, had called on ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and asked Him to visit and speak in their new headquarters.
