Dr. Shawn Jones is an Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University and a trained Child and Family Cilinical Psychologist.During this episode Dr Jones is addressing four issues:
- the impact of the pandemic on our mental health and actions we can take to heal
- the exacerbation of racism and race related stress on mental health and our well-being
- healthy patterns of interactions between parent and children, particularly to children exhibitting stress after experiencing or witnessing acts of racism
- recommended healthy routines for adults that would preserve strong mental health
