Kasey Hornby’s story struck a cord in my soul.. it literally reminded me how precious our lives are and stop thinking of the incidentals that comes our way!
The Joy Foster podcast is honoured by her words and her courage, strength and grace 🙏🏾
Short intro ..
While walking into the UHN Foundation We Walk United, May 31 my hubby and I were graced by Kasey, her sister and son. We immediately struck up a conversation and she shared why she was walking, Shaun and I looked at each other and said we have to share her story on the podcast.
Here we are!! 🎙️
Honestly, I’m going to be bold here in my content for our listeners, why, because Kasey’s story is about a young woman who endured one of life’s scariest moments and overcame a challenge that I pray none of us face 🙏🏾
Working from home she suddenly felt unwell, sweaty and her heart beats were rapid..at that moment Kasey knew something was seriously wrong.
She was experiencing a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest alone....reached out to her mother and later found herself in hospital.
Only later to know that she needed a heart
transplant.
She’s praises the team at UHN Health Network, Toronto General Hospital and all the incredible staff who supported one of the toughest curves in her life.
I’m going to leave it that!! 😌
We all face challenges in our lives, more addresses mountains and oceans , yet they remain hopeful, optimistic and grateful to their medical professionals, family and friends. 💜
Kasey’s story exemplifies in her own words ..
“To inspire people, keep their head up, things can always get worse and just try to get through each day!
Kasey, I appreciate your bravery, courage and your strength, more than you’ll ever know. You’ve taught me that special people are chosen for a greater walk!
To carry an inspirational prayer throughout this world 🌍 🙏🏾
You are an incredible woman and your son is blessed to have you!! 🙏🏾❤️❤️
