Look up!

Hello - this is Brooke Jack with today’s Joy Prescription Devotional, which is a prayer inspired by the heart posture revealed in Psalm 5:3. 

Psalm 5:3 in the NKJV reads:

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;

In the morning I will direct it to You,

And I will look up.

Every morning is a new day and a new opportunity to pour out your heart before God. It is a time to rekindle your passion, revel in His goodness, and recall with great expectation His immeasurable power and authority!

• I pray that as you look up, you will remember that you are positioned with Christ in heavenly places.
• I pray that as you cast your eyes upon the King of Kings, you will be captivated by His goodness and beauty.
• I pray that as you lift your eyes to Heaven, you will hear the melodies of joyful songs the Father sings over you.
• I pray that as you look up, all fear and reservation will be quieted in HIs love.
• I pray that as you gaze Heavenward, you will experience healing, freedom, renewal, and courage.
• I pray that as you lift your eyes higher, you will be granted creative ideas, solutions, wisdom, and extraordinary insight.
• I pray that as you look up, every part of your being will be consumed with a passionate love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Chronic exposure to stressors excites the sympathetic nervous system, putting the entire body on the alert.

God’s splendor is a tale that is told;

his testament is written in the stars.

Space itself speaks his story every day

through the marvels of the heavens.

His truth is on tour in the starry vault of the sky,

showing his skill in creation’s craftsmanship.

Friend, today, I encourage you to step into nature and simply MARVEL at God's creation. What beautiful thing do you see?  What delightful sound do you hear? Quiet your soul and engage your senses, and let the SPLENDOR of God fill you with joy!

Hello, this is Brooke Jack, Director of Health Education for the Joy Prescription Community, and today I have a prayer for you inspired by the words from Psalm 90:14. 

Psalm 90:14 NLT says: "Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives." 

Here is my prayer of declaration over you today:

I declare that...

• You will find satisfaction in the lavish love of the Heavenly Father.
• You will experience overwhelming contentment as a child of God.
• You will delight in pleasing the Lord, obeying His commands.
• Your soul will rejoice in the realization of divine mercy!
• You will live purposefully with a consciousness of the Holy Spirit.
• You will prosper in the favor of the Lord!

Amen!

1. Magnification and Minimization—Blowing things way out of proportion, or downplaying their importance.
2. Emotional Reasoning—This brain ANT happens when we give our feelings too much credit without considering the facts and the bigger picture.
3. Labeling–Calling yourself or others negative names like “lazy” or “a loser.”
4. Overt and Hidden Should Statements—As in, “I SHOULDN’T have screwed up like that,” or “I SHOULD be better than I am.”
5. Blame—Self-Blame leads to despair and depression and blaming others breeds anger and strife.

Hello! In this episode I discuss root causes of hypothyroidism and the holistic treatment options to optimize thyroid health, improve metabolism, and decrease autoimmunity for a higher quality of life.

Here are some of the root causes of hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's thyroiditis:

• Environmental toxicity: (e.g. heavy metals, industrial chemicals/organic pollutants, fluoride in the water) 
• Dietary factors: food sensitivity (e.g. gluten due to molecular mimicry), micronutrient deficiencies from poor diet, malabsorption and soil mineral depletion (e.g. iodine, zinc, iron, B vitamins, vitamin A and selenium), excessive carbohydrates, low protein diet, low calorie diets all negatively affect thyroid function
• Infections: pathogenic viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa  
• GI dysfunction: hypochlorhydria, gut dysbiosis, SIBO/SIFO, parasites and leaky gut syndrome with associated inflammation and micronutrient deficiencies
• Genetics: (e.g. SNPs affecting vitamin A metabolism and genes causing defects in thyroid hormone synthesis)
• Prescription medications: (e.g. PPIs, OCPs)
• Adrenal dysfunction: stress, trauma and elevated cortisol
• Sex hormone imbalance: (e.g. excessive estrogen)
• Inflammation: obesity and other chronic diseases
