A guest on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday offered a unique explanation of the ongoing saga surrounding Jussie Smollett, tying the “Empire” star to communists, the Black Panthers and California Senator Kamala Harris, plus billionaire financier George Soros and even the Obamas.

“Not only did Smollett grow up in a communist household with ties to the Black Panthers, but he also works with Kamala Harris … one of the first Democrats to jump on this hoax — this obvious hoax — to use it to advance her own political agenda,” right wing journalist Chadwick Moore said.

Why Do We Not Hear More About “Rich Privilege?”

Over the past several years we have heard and read many references to “white privilege” and “male privilege.” These seem to be the only types of “privilege” socially progressive people talk about and disparage. Although we sometimes think these phrases are over used, we don’t disagree that our American society still struggles to level the playing field of privilege by abolishing unearned privilege.

Being white and being male should not give one special rights or privileges; social privilege should be earned, not enjoyed just because of one’s unearned status.

CHICAGO – Prosecutors dropped all charges Tuesday against “Empire” star Jussie Smollett, just weeks after he was indicted on 16 counts of disorderly conduct for filing a false police report about being the victim of an alleged hate-crime attack.

At a press conference later, outgoing Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson told reporters they were outraged at the decision. They continued to accuse Smollett of lying about being attacked as a means to raise his profile and TV salary.

"This is a whitewash of justice," Emanuel declared. "It’s Mr. Smollett who committed this hoax. He’s still saying he's innocent, still running down the Chicago Police Department. How dare he?

Project 21 members called on the NAACP to rescind actor Jussie Smollett’s nomination for an Image Award. The nomination was made after Smollett claimed to be the victim of a hate crime. Since then, Smollett has been indicted on 16 counts of felonious disorderly conduct related to the attack allegedly being a hoax.

Project 21 member Melanie Collette says:

If the NAACP truly wants to promote positive images in the black community, the last thing they should do is consider someone who is under indictment for taking advantage of racist stereotypes for selfish, personal gain.

The NAACP would show strength, integrity, and character by immediately withdrawing Jussie Smollett’s name from consideration.

Black Conservatives to NAACP: Why Is Jussie Smollett Still Being Considered for an Image Award?

Actor Jussie Smollett is still being considered for an NAACP Image Award despite being charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police and staging a racist attack against himself.

A black conservative group, Project 21, is calling on the NAACP to rescind Smollett’s nomination, saying the civil rights group “needs to make it clear that his behavior is not OK.”
