The K-Watch Party: A Korean TV Recap Podcast

Juliet and Leanne recap the “trash” that the characters are taking out. As Ji Won transfers different parts of her fate to people in her life, the co-hosts contemplate whether Ji Won and Ji Hyuk (Hunky GM) will have a chance to erase their second life to end the suffering of those around them.

The ladies also dissect Su Min and Min Hwan’s (Deadbeat Husband's) wedding and Korean wedding culture. And of course, the K-drama trope that they didn’t see coming but weren’t surprised to see: the Truck Of Doom!

Leanne talks about the standard set for dads by “Bandit” from ‘Bluey' and whether the men in their lives meet that standards. The ladies also discuss the next show they plan to recap: Physical 100 Season 2.

‘Marry My Husband' on Amazon Prime, starring Park Min Young and Na In Woo, is ‘The K-Watch Party’s’ first foray into K-Drama recaps.

Follow along as Juliet and Leanne break down the tropes that are rife in this K-Drama: terminal illness, an evil mother-in-law, reincarnation, a hierarchical corporate office, a handsome and powerful rescuer, a glow-up, and time travel! The gals also discuss whether this is a comedy, a romantic drama, or a neo-noir show.

Hear about Leanne’s experience working in an Asian corporate office and how it aligns with the office storyline in 'Marry My Husband.' Juliet also shares her experience with a faux friend like Soo Min (played by Song Ha Yoon) - the parallels are uncanny.

But the Gwan Hee (Basketball Player) Derby is still on and the co-hosts analyze why he was waffling between Min Ji (Teletubby) and Hye Seon (Vitamin BBL). Finally, the ladies discuss which of the couples they suspect are still together and the rumors they’ve heard about the cast members.

Juliet and Leanne discuss their highs and lows of the episodes, which mostly centers around the drama of “If Boy,” Gwan Hee (Basketball Player). Was that helicopter ride with Minji (Teletubby) the best or most uncomfortable moment of the show? Has Gwan Hee destroyed Ha Jeong’s (Foxy Bear) main character energy?

The gals analyze Won Ik’s (Real Estate Agent) approach to wooing Si Eun (Jennie) - is it by holding her hostage? When did Min Kyu (Coast Guard) become everyone’s friend-zoned best buddy?

The ladies then talk about their latest coughing remedy, how their children’s spoiled taste buds are rooted in their ethnicity, and what show the co-hosts should recap next. (Send your recommendations!)
