It was a beautiful evening as the kids watched a movie and Donald played his guitar by the fireplace. But suddenly, his arm began to tingle and he lost all ability to move or speak. 911 was called and immediately paramedics filled the living room. That's when Karen was told, "ma'am, your husband is having a stroke." On today's show, Donald and Karen relive that moment. He was his daughter's biggest fan and encouraged her to write what was in her heart; however, as he neared the end of his life, he simply couldn't remember she was an author. On today's show Karen and her husband Donald remember her late father and the pivotal role he played in both of their lives. There's no manual to being a good father, but Donald gives practical advice to steer every parent in the right direction.
