Around 11pm, on a warm August night in the summer of 1955, eight people burst into the police station in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The people were in a frenzy, a clear state of panic. “We need help!”, one had proclaimed, following up by uttering a phrase that, at the time confused local authorities. “We’ve been fighting them for nearly four hours!” 66 years later, the tale of a group engaging in a terrifying and seemingly impossible battle with what would be described as extraterrestrial forces would go down in history, cementing itself as a legend in local Kentucky circles. For, you see, they alleged that for nearly four hours, the group was attacked by what they described as little silver men.
