The Kevin Powell Podcast

Strap in for a fun interview with Jyl and Jules of The Pretty Wild! We explore topics like TikTok, touring with In This Moment and a new album on the way. These two were some of the nicest people I met at INKCARCERATION Festival all weekend. Do yourself a favor and check out The Pretty Wild!

On this episode of The Kevin Powell Podcast, I chat with vocalist Alex Terrible and guitar player Jack Simmons of Slaughter to Prevail! We discuss how their newest album 'Grizzly' feels more like a "collection of songs" than a regular album, admiration for the band's fans and more.

P.S: Tyler and I are still waiting for our shirts lol

🎤 Backstage with Carbonstone at Incarceration Fest!

This was a super fun imprompto interview and honestly one of my favorites!

In this episode of the Kevin Powell Podcast, we catch up with Alpha Wolf backstage at Inkcarceration Festival to talk about everything from disgusting guitar tones to career sacrifices that paid off.

Guitarists Sabian and Scotty break down the origin of The Noise—their custom distortion pedal made with Talon Electric that was specifically designed to sound “as f*cked up as possible.”

We also dive into working with Ice-T, their long friendship with producer Lance Prenc, and how a band from Tasmania (lol) grinded for years before hitting their stride internationally.

They also share real talk for new bands: sacrifices, contracts, and the golden rule—no one cares about your band more than you do.

🎸 Alpha Wolf fans, musicians, and gearheads—don’t miss this one.

🎭 Dark Divine joins The Kevin Powell Podcast backstage at Inkarceration Festival to talk touring chaos, new music, and everything in between.
Lead vocalist Anthony Martinez opens up about how a rainy set turned into one of their most unforgettable shows, what it’s like performing alongside childhood heroes, and why hydration is a serious part of the ride.
We dig into the making of their new EP, the meaning behind “Burn the Witch” and “Terrifier”, and how the band balances their theatrical image with raw authenticity. Plus—some great throwbacks to Warped Tour dreams and their first ever festival experiences as fans.

In this episode, she opens up about navigating the music scene as a solo act, writing with raw emotion, and staying 100% authentic in everything she does. We dive into the meaning behind her music, her must-have tour essentials (yes, coffee), and the artists that inspire her the most (Evanescence fans, you’ll relate). On this episode of The Kevin Powell Podcast, I’m joined by Jeremy DePoyster of The Devil Wears Prada, one of the most influential bands in the metalcore scene. We caught up backstage at Inkcarceration Festival 2025 to talk about their brand new single “Forlorn”, what fans can expect from their upcoming ninth LP, and how touring life is evolving — especially when you’re engaged to another rock vocalist (shoutout to Emma from Dying Wish!). Jeremy shares stories from the road, why Danny Wimmer Presents festivals set the gold standard, and gives advice to newer bands who want to get on stages like this. It’s honest, relaxed, and full of personality — just like Jeremy himself.
