Beyond my desire for change, the fact that I was ON THE RADIO when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were being sworn in. That s something that just felt.. special.

I edited my 8:30 and 9:30 news stories to share.

For Graham Mosimann, he remembers June 13, 2019 for a different reason. He was on air with x92.9 in Calgary drunk.

June 14, 2019, Graham decided to quit drinking.

He joined me on The KevOle Podcast to discuss his journey.

It's been a few weeks of learning and reflecting.
The tragic, horrible, death of George Floyd has lead to protests. Not only in the USA, but across the world.Including Canada. Image after image.

The topics of systemic racism has been at the forefront. And while, some wanted to say this isjust a "USA problem", it's becoming quite clear that it is also a problem, a big problem in Canada.

Our guests today will explain how this has impacted them.

Ki Nya-She is from Kenya She immigrated to Canada 15 years ago. Ki Nya-She is from Kenya She immigrated to Canada 10 years ago. She is a social worker. She is also an inclusion strategist and educator with my consulting firm, Shades of Humanity.
Brigid-(Bree) Bree lives in Surrey and is Nigerian by birth. She is a graduate of the BCIT Radio Arts and Entertainment Diploma program. Brigid works in the sustainable energy program as a communications person.
Hugh-His background is Jamician. He is a Student Advisor at SAIT in Calgary. He has two sons that are mixed race.
