We're back! Sort of! After a six month hiatus/ mental health recovery, Sam and podcast favorite Lambtime (@julp) are here to reveal the secrets of THE GOLDFINCH! It takes a while because, hey, it's a long movie (and book!) and also because Sam and Lamby get progressively drunker throughout.
Also: the winner of the coveted Golden Compass award is finally revealed, in the most confusing way possible! Should we have come back? Who's to say! *Russian accent* POTTER!

This week, Nicole and television expert Dan D'Addario (@DPD_) joins host Sam Herbst (@mrsamherbst) to discuss MY LIFE! Join the boys as they tackle this Keaton/Kidman mashup that isn't a Batman movie but is better than BIRDMAN! Dan wonders if Nicole Kidman remembered working with Queen Latifah when they were nominated together years later, and Sam thirsts over a very questionable Bradley Whitford mustache.
Check out Dan's work for Variety here!

This week, friend to the North Mark Lentz (@markamlz) joins host Sam Herbst (@mrsamherbst) to discuss the U.S. remake of SECRET IN THEIR EYES (a singular secret, not plural)! We've been away for a little while so Sam takes some time to tear apart Alita: Battle Angel and that Jason Statham movie his mom really wants to see. Mark brings his compound Julia Roberts and Nicole knowledge to the table, and maybe comes out LIVE on the podcast. Join us for this ESPECIALLY wiggy flashback fest, won't you?

This week, darling and esteemed member of the Screen Actors Guild Paul McCallion (@OrangePaulp) joins host Sam Herbst (@mrsamherbst) to discuss the Joel Edgerton-directed adaptation of Garrard Conley's memoir Boy Erased! Paul takes a brief hiatus from acting to discuss Nicole's latest motherly tour-de-force, and comes out as a surprise THE INTERPRETER stan in the process. Also, the boys forget to talk about Cherry Jones, so stay tuned until the end for Paul's voicemail edition of The Cherry Chronicles!

This week, nemesis of the podcast Michael Fraser (@shenanigreat) joins host Sam Herbst (@mrsamherbst) to discuss Aquaman! Michael gets his chance to finally speak publicly about THE STEPFORD WIVES but mostly he and Sam talk about how Aquaman is similar to Harry Potter and Star Wars. Also: Willem Dafoe is in a video game, Amber Heard can control wine, and Nicole eats a goldfish. James Wan is a genius!

This week, international correspondant Iana Murray (@supiriana) joins host Sam Herbst (@mrsamherbst) to discuss Genius! In the spirit of Golden Globes season, Iana and Sam compare this movie to critical darlings GREEN BOOK and BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, and question whether men should ever do accents or act at all!
