We all count the days, weeks, and months of pregnancy. So excited for that little bundle to get here. You prep the nursery, prepare the hospital bag, and install the car seat. You maybe even sterilize the bottles, pumping/nursing parts, and wash the cute little outfits. Then the days comes! You are overwhelmed with the new life you are holding and everyone cannot wait to see pictures! Then... you are sitting the hospital holding that little, beautiful baby, and it hits you...pregnancy is over and the postpartum journey begins.
This is the part that Summer and Kimberly thought they were prepared for, but really had no idea all that it entailed or how long it lasted. Let's be honest...it is not common for us to hear of women preparing for postpartum, at least beyond meals and mommy diapers. Listen along as these two discuss the physical and mental health aspects of postpartum that are not commonly talked about. They discuss their medical care after, a bit of their lactation experiences, and the hormone changes they did not know would occur. So if you are a veteran mom, soon to be momma, or even just a sweet friend of one there is something in this episode for all of you!
