We all know ‘leaders’ who are more focused on themselves than the people they’re leading. Scripture isn’t naive to that reality. In fact, we meet two such leaders in today’s passages. But in contrast to power-seeking leadership, we see David embody peace-making leadership. And in so doing, he points us to Jesus, the leader we truly need today.
