Blknerd's Biblecast: Genesis Chapter 19 in this chapter will you find that God destroys, God has ultimately judge the city because of its wickedness and perversion and now has to destroy the city but has mercy enough to make sure that lot and his family are spared from the destruction. two angels are sent into the city to prepare lot and his family to escape before God rains down fire from heaven as he is leaving his wife unfortunately looks back at the destruction of the city and as a result of her decision is turned into a pillar of salt. Blknerd's Biblecast: In this episode God changes Abrams name to Abraham, he establishes his Everlasting Covenant with Abraham and his descendants not only will they be blessed but they will have the place of Canaan when they were previously foreigners now they will be blessed with the territory forever and his descendants will be very many as well as they will be Kings and Nations coming from him this was God establishing his people on the Earth. Also God also lets Abraham know that his wife Sarah will give birth to a son in which the Nations and Kings will come from him. Sarai's name has been changed to Sarah. Both Abraham and Sarah are 99 and 100 years old Abraham finds it funny that God will bless him with his son and express his disbelief because of his old age in her old age and having a son so late in life but God confirms that they will have a son in their old age. Blknerd's Biblecast: in this episode we read more about Abram in Genesis Chapter 15, we see how the Lord begins to reconfirm to Abram about the Covenant that he has for him and his descendants and also how he explains to him that he will have a son to continue his wealth along with the inheritance that will go on with his descendants after Abram will be long gone. Blknerd's Biblecast: In this episode we read about after Abram and Lot part ways, war breaks out in the region among 9 Kings. King Kedorloamer is defeated by Abram and his allies in order to recover his nephew Lot and all things that he had lost, we also discover and are introduced 2 King Melchizedek who is the high priest of God most high this is a mystery as to who exactly he is but we have some clues that he does come from heaven as a result representative of the kingdom of God though it is not his time to come but we believe that this could be Jesus Christ himself showing up toward Abram as king Melchizedek.
