+++ UP THEIR GAME +++
One of the ways that my parents would try to get us as children to do better, would be to compare us, shame us, threaten us, and at times, whup us.
The latter was, unfortunately, the first in their arsenal of choices. This was more so my dad than my mom.
Did they work?
Some did. Others only led to hurt feelings and at times passive resistance.
What do you do when the underperformer happens to be your adult team members?
Trying the methods my parents used, will not get the results you are looking for. So how do you address poor performance so those team members will up their game to incur positive changes?
In this episode, you will discover 5 techniques that will get you the results you are looking for without the negative consequences.

+++ CONFLICT FOR SALE +++
In some settings, you would think that there's a sale on conflict. Everyone seems to be "wearing" it. Right?
Everywhere you go, there seems to be conflict all around.
Have you ever been in environments like that?
Here's what I know. Life is made up of conflicts. It shouldn't surprise us when it happens.
What should surprise us is our mishandling of them; how we behave.
All of us are either:
Would you agree?
So, what should you as a leader do when all it seems like you are doing is putting out "fires?"
In this episode our guest - Mark Minard - shares with us how he deals with conflict and gives some tips, tricks, and best practices for dealing with conflict.

+++ NO DIME ONLY TIME +++
Have you ever been in a tight spot where your budget didn't allow you to do some things you know would possibly help your situation?
You had the time but just didn't have the dime to make it happen.
That's never a good feeling.
I've been there and I know what it feels like to have an idea or a desire, but couldn't because: IT JUST WASN'T IN THE BUDGET.
This is frustrating in every way but more so for a leader who sees the need for new machinery, more training, more resources, but cannot get them because of THE BUDGET.
Budget restraints can hurt.
But what if there was a way to motivate your team without a dime?
This is what you'll discover in this episode. How do you pull it off?

+++ FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT +++
How often have we taken something or someone for granted until we no longer had them?
Have that ever happened to you where you became so familiar to your surroundings and that which was included that you took it for granted?
Have you ever felt a tinge or more of regret over something or someone you no longer have around?
Is part of the regret that you have come from guilt?
I've had my share.
It's when I no longer had what I took for granted and became so familiar with having, that I realize how valuable and / or important they were in my life.
In this episode, you'll discover 3 Keys To Making Every Team Member feel valued and important before it's too late.

+++ DON'T BE SCARED +++
Many leaders today aren't discussing what most of their people are wondering or concerned about ... their jobs. Will automation and artificial intelligence aka AI, replace them.
Do you know anyone who is concerned about that? Are you?
We are hearing that automation will take away people's jobs, which has caused some anxiety for workers and even leaders.
I read where 1.8 million jobs will be made obsolete as a result of automation.
But what if those stories were not true? What if more jobs will be created as a result of automation?
And what if leaders became more knowledgable on what's going on with automation and then spearhead a conversation around what's already happening?
In this episode, expert and COO, Arjen van Berkum answers questions like these and more.
Who is Arjen van Berkum?

+++ ENERGIZE THEM +++
The Energizer Bunny created a mascot in 1989, to become one of the country's most identifiable brand mascots.
Their tagline?
"Still Going!"
The point is that the energizer battery is the catalyst for a keep-going attitude.
How do leaders/business owners energize their people to keep going and do their best work even when ...?
You'll discover the answers as you listen to this episode. Having strong people skills that are being practiced regularly is the key, and in this episode, you'll be introduced to seven of those people skills.

+++ BAD BOSS HEAR DAY +++
Note: It's not a typo!
The phrase "bad hair day" is normally associated with someone having a difficult time getting their hair to cooperate in the way they'd like.
So the use of the phrase without the H.A.I.R spelling is intentional.
We could say bad bosses don't hear or listen well. For the most part, they are clueless about what's happening around them. They are too busy "bossing" people around while the mass exodus of their best people is taking place. In essence, they're having a bad H.E.A.R day.
In this episode, you'll discover 7 Hidden Reasons why this is so. These 7 reasons are taken from John Maxwell's book: Developing The Leader Within You 2.0.

+++ IT'S MAGICAL +++
It's aahmazing what can happen when we truly accept ourselves through and through, flaws and all.
But to do so requires that we become honest with ourselves by asking and answering that one question as our guest - Oleg Lougheed - discusses on today's show.
When we as leaders become honest with our own struggles, disappointments, and pain, we create a connecting point with the people we lead. They will see us as people who hurt and bleed just as they do.
These are some of the topics you'll hear discussed on this show.
