In 2020, we spoke with then Porirua high school student Jess Jenkins who was off to study at Harvard University Fast forward six years and Jess is now a senior at Harvard and has been selected as one of this year's 'Fay Prize winners' - the top prize at Harvard for undergraduate thesis work. Her research used big data to explore how where you grow up shapes your future and also examined the long-term impacts of colonial land confiscation in Aotearoa. Jess chats to Jesse.
