Summer is now in full swing as we've passed the Summer Solstice. What better way to celebrate the Summer of 1983 with a picture of the (still) beautiful Diane Franklin from a TV movie called Summer Girl. No idea what it's about and I don't care. I've met her and in an alternate universe, we're together after Molly Ringwald dumped me.

The gap was is another excuse, getting my next guest's mix ready which keeps being pushed back and back. I promise, it won't be another Chinese Democracy! Now, kick back and enjoy the good memories Return of the Jedi had, namely Star Wars finally being on HBO.

I took an unplanned break for April, sorry, I too loved the April Fool's Specials but just wasn't prepared. Enjoy this May Day edition…I mean Labor Day edition. Get ready for more this year though as I hope April will be the only "vacation month."

I don't think Washington dunked with his mouth open since his false teeth would fall out. Seriously. When I read a bio about him, he lost has last real tooth at 41 and he was rather soft spoken so the dentures wouldn't fly out of his mouth. Good thing Lincoln had better dental hygiene.

Time magazine never gets tired of picking a of the Year that never ages well. I do agree on their choice of the PC. Forty years ago they were finally making their permanent mark like cars and TV.
