Episode 9, Korak Podcast, the rise of the Phoenix!! 

We are delighted to be joined by singer, songwriter, actress, boxing and mindset coach, the one and only Phoenix Rose aka Rachel Rose

Formally known as Rachel Rose, Phoenix Rose is back with a new name, a bigger sound,
and a deeper purpose. In a world becoming more disconnected, Phoenix believes music is
the way to tell stories, and communicate in a way that is slowly disappearing. Having a
journey in the industry spanning 15 years, she has performed at venues such as Wembley
and Hammersmith Apollo, and festivals such as Glastonbury.

Phoenix understands what it feels like to be lost, broken down, disconnected and hopeless; feelings she never wishes for anyone else; her music is her way of extending a hand and pulling people in. She says she writes and sings to speak to the misfits, the outcasts, the heartbroken, the girl's girl, the team player, the warriors, the survivors and the deepest believers that anything is possible. Her latest releases have been a story of her own destruction led by trauma and heartbreak, but as her name suggests, she rose from the ashes and found herself rising again. In the darkest times, there is always light, and she hopes her music reaches the people who need the message the most.

Saxon is a poet, singer and rapper from Hackney that has infused his poetry with music to create a different level of sounds. Collaborating with other artists, he has released songs like Mind Games Ft Aneesamarie and Go Home with Amunaso. 

We discuss finding his artistry, growing up in Hackney, and being Congolese first. And of course, the continuous journey to get to where he wants to get to

Episode 7, Korak Podcast. We are delighted to be joined by singer, rapper and songwriter from East London, UK Queen of Funkton, Ana Santos

Ana is a  singer/songwriter born and raised in Portugal, who moved to the UK in her teenage years and has been on a journey to become the best version of herself as an artist. This natural creative has been in the music world ever since she could remember, performing on platforms such as The Voice, BGT and several radio shows. 

She first tapped into the old school, Soul, R&B vibes, but has now started to display her style versatility. By mixing what she grew up listening to with her current style, she is breaking through the industry displaying her own genre, a mix of Brazilian Funk and Reggaeton labelled as FUNKTON by Ana Santos herself.

The Journey begins from battling depression for 7 years and accepting that his music is his therapy and not only will it help himself but others

London born singer MJ Duke takes to the stage to bring forth some more of his soulful, and brassy timbre. The rising star is a heart on the sleeve storyteller with much to say. Raised on era defining genres like Soul and Blues he brings his own modern swing to the sound with his voice certainly standing out amongst others. 

He first appeared on the scene with roaring activism on his record “On Time” dragging listeners around the world to the edge of their seats and then topped it with a soulful yet aggressive “I Lost My Way”


MJ Duke now returns with his debut album “It Is What It Is”.

Poetik is a talented artist and a musical writer. He is known for being prolific, and his body of work stands testament of it. To date, Poetik has over 100 recorded songs and counting in his catalogue.

Hard working and always taking his craft serious, Poetik has been reguared as pioner of the Portuguese Rap schene in the UK. Due to his biolingual ability, Rhyme Poetik has been able to mix and blend worldwide with his musical skills and also remain close to his roots. Taking his music to new horizons is the aim, according to Rhyme Poetik music is Universal.

Working along side close friends on his new EP ‘A Year of Changes’ which will be out summer 2024, with Andrei Frias and LouLaBelle. Soussa is currently back in the studio producing his best work to date.
After a much needed time off, Soussa is back on stage across the U.K. and starting to find his mark in the industry. 
Releasing songs such as ‘Point of View’ and a Brazilian favourite ‘Porque’ Soussa is definitely evolving as a Song Writer and no dispute about his talent as an acoustic guitarist.

Farah is a singer/songwriter originally from Doncaster. After years of gigging up and down the country as well as internationally, Farah released her debut E.P 'Awaken', in November 2021 raising money for charities supporting survivors of domestic violence and to raise awareness of the trauma survivors experience.

Farah herself is a survivor and is extremely passionate about telling her story and helping others who feel they have had their voice taken from them and for those who live in fear.
In 2022 FARAH was a finalist for Open Mic UK receiving incredible feedback including 'the UK's next biggest R&B Star. 
In 2022 She also joined the Take Back The Beat UK Music Tour and performed alongside artists such as Billy Locket, Push Baby, Sody and Natalie Gray to help raise money for Women’s aid.
