The Bible is very serious about the dangers of false teachers, what they look like, and what will be their end. God is the Greatest of All Teachers and His word is always true. In Christ is nothing but the truth. Satan alone is the father of lies (John 8:44). God does not want anything of the Satanic in His holy work or message at all. God wants to protect His holy church from evil and lies which surely would distort and kill His gospel as well as misrepresent His character. This is a vitally serious matter and the stakes are eternal. People need the truth of Jesus to set them free (John 8:32-36)! This lesson covers Jude 1:8-25 verse by verse to understand the real character of false teachers and their end, as well as God's call to escape them.

The Bible is clear we must "contend for the faith" which was once given to the saints. All sorts of people and powers would love to write off the truth of God's word and change it into fables if they can. People are so inclined to depart from the holy gospel given to us. Yet, we must push back against that by proclaiming God's holy word and living the biblical gospel. We must recognize God's true gospel that we may discern the difference between true and false teachers and their teachings. We must contend for the gospel faith that was once given unto the believers. Jude makes this case very strongly and provides counsel on how to go about this. In lesson one of this two-part series on Jude, we cover the introduction to the book and verses 1-7, verse by verse.
