Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat its mistakes, so I share with you a tale of five kings so you can understand when Patrick Henry said; ” I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided and that is the lamp of experience. I know no way to judge the future but by the past”.

Buckle up and strap yourself in, because by the end of this episode your head might be ready to explode. We have put a Republican majority in the House and Senate because they've promised over and over and over again to right all the wrongs of the misguided collectivist agenda. They promised to repeal the ACA and a more accountable, Constitutional government, but don't hold your breath, because unless we hold their feet to the fire and demand they act with 'Compelling Constitutional Interest" they will never abandon their addiction to "Compelling Government Interests."

Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat its mistakes. History ALWAYS repeats, but because we do not know about the Barbary Pirates, we are doomed to repeat a history and NOT learn from the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson in dealing with Islamic terrorists. Lets get educated.

Sometimes you might feel like taking a breath. Sometimes you might feel like you need a break but when it comes to the defense of liberty and especially given a tyrannical government that has an insatiable thirst for power and control we must be forever vigilant. We must be very careful to let our guard down. All you have to do is look around! Look around and you'll see that we are surrounded not just by scandals such as IRS profiling, or Fast and Furious, or Benghazi as these are not scandals but they are criminal acts! This is why defending liberty required eternal vigilance.

Who are the real defenders of Liberty? Not sure it's Allen West or Michele Bachmann who support a police state to keep us "safe." It's certainly not Congress. Recently our government gave a number of Saudi's a free pass to come to our country on Visas and deciding if these people might be a terror threat was delegated to the Saudi government. Thank you very much Janet Napolitano and thank you Congress for being silently guilty. This is just one example of how those who are supposed to be the defenders of liberty are only shallow pretenders. Makes you wonder what the real agenda is...

The provision for a Constitutional Convention exists in the Constitution, but let me ask you a question. Do you we have the same motivation today as it relates to liberty that our founders had? Who would we send to a Constitutional Convention? Certainly we put the Constitution at serious risk if we send the same breed of politicians, or individuals to any Constitutional Convention that are running the country. There is nothing wrong with the Constitution, it's the system that is broken and the people who are in charge of the system have yet to discover that their real job is to protect and defend liberty!

John Adams said that "Liberty must be supported at all hazards." Not healthcare, not national security and not your social security. This is the truth, because without liberty none of these other things could ever be made possible. Apparently this level of truth is too much for some people. Apparently, some are predisposed to believe that healthcare, social security and the rest come before liberty and the truth is that we Liberty must come first and be supported at all hazards!

We're going to cover not only the obvious, but some of the not so obvious aspects of the 1st Amendment, including the relationship between the 1st Amendment and taxation.

Like Elvis, critical Thinking has left the planet and has been absent for quite some time; Critical thinking by our representatives and the people. We need to be able to call out people when they are wrong and when they wickedly ignore the Constitution and their oath to defend it. Liberty over security, principle over party and truth over your favorite personality means that we must have the will to abandon our addiction to cheer for or against someone based their personality. It's time to begin to develop the strength and will to scrutinize everything in the political universe through the principle of liberty.

Since the NSA and the national security state is listening to everything I say in this podcast, to everything I write in my emails, then I want to encourage them to take a moment to really listen and learn what makes this country great. Teaching others about the liberty that has made this country great is what I teach and since you're listening make it a point to pay attention and learn something.
