A lot of times we don’t recognize how important language is to us.  What role it plays in our existence and our identity.  We named ourselves. (or maybe we didn’t). We named objects.  The names we give things not only help us to identify those things, but also give us power. Nigger, Thug, Pro-Life as opposed to anti-choice.  We use these words everyday yet we don’t think about how they impact our lives every single day.
