April 27, 2020 EP 33: The NBA to reopen some team practice facilities, reviewing the Lakers' draft picks during the rebuilding years (2014-18, Part 1)
Matt is joined by managing editor for Lakers UK and contributor for Lake Show Life, Jonathan Kiernan. The show starts with both discussing the recent news of the NBA reopening team practice facilities in states that have relaxed stay-at-home rules.
The main bulk of the show is dedicated to a review of the Lakers' draft picks during the rebuilding years. This is part 1 and covers 2014 to half of the 2016 draft selections. Players reviewed include; Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, D'Angelo Russell, Larry Nance Jr, Anthony Brown, and Brandon Ingram. Part 2 will cover the second half of 2016, up to 2018. This will be on the podcast episode next week.

The news certainly causes a power shift on how prospects will prepare for the jump to the NBA, potentially ending the "one-and-done" ruling.
The finances of the move are discussed, along with the structure of the new franchise that Green will be joining. Alongside top prospect Isaiah Todd. Additional topics include the ramifications moving forward for the rest of the G-League and for international players who may now view the league as an established option to get to the NBA.
