The LAMBcast

This week we all returned to a theater, which is the only place we could see this week's featured film. So come and find out whether we should stay quiet about the movie, or shout it's praises.

It's time for May's Lambpardy show! Three new contestants - one a former winner, two who came close in the past - are here to duke it out for the sixth coveted place in the next round! There's only three places left after this!

As always the conversation occasionally strayed away from the quiz at hand, so if you're looking for some movie recommendations to cheer you up, or you're curious as to what happened to Stephen Sommers, then all the more reasons to listen to this show!

This month the contestants are:
Darren Lucas; Movie Reviews 101
DJ Valentine; Simplistic Reviews
Robert Zerbe; To The Escape Hatch

Host:
Jay Cluitt, Life vs Film, Deep Blue Sea: The Podcast

Thanks to the following Lambpardy heroes for helping out with questions for the show:

Five Lambs enter, and two emerge for your vote to decide it. We get a series of debate brackets that let some great action stars face off and the Lambs have a lot of fun. Come listen and then go vote.

This week the flock grazes on some random films that are not particularly well know. We chew up some martial arts features, bleat about obscure comedies from thirty plus years ago and generally cross paths with films foreign and domestic. If you like singing astronauts, comedic vigilantes and grim "G" rated fare, this is a show for you.

George Clooney is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show. Rob was joined by Tony Cogan of Coog's Reviews to discuss all things George Clooney, but mainly the five performances of his that they like the most. If you have any reviews, podcasts or features written or published about George Clooney or any film or TV show he has appeared in, send them to Rob at [email protected] by 20th May.

So some gamers we know decided to join some folks who don't know anything about the game and they talk about the reboot of the 1995 movie based on a game originally in arcades. Got that? Well don't worry, it's all fun.

It's time for April's Lambpardy show! And, I think for the first time, this is the first show to not feature any Americans. In fact, we didn't stray all that far from the British Isles for this show. Was it so it could be recorded on a weekday evening? Perhaps. Did it still lead to a very entertaining show? You betcha!

This month's show features two Lambpardy newbies and one second-timer, but literally no-one involved was all that familiar with Jeopardy, which of course only added to the fun. Did a lack of understanding the rules help or hinder our competitors? Listen to find out!

This month the contestants are:
Meg Hyland; Megan's Movie Alphabet, meganhyland.com, Dublin Feminist Film Festival
Emily Slade: Why This Film Podcast, Through Dangers Untold, Suffen About Suffolk
Paul Devine: The Peoples Movies

Host:
Jay Cluitt, Life vs Film, Deep Blue Sea: The Podcast

This week the flock is scattered over a large field of movies, as our guests each create their own Top Five list. The places you will go, the things you will read and the sounds you will hear, make this a really fun show. Come and explore where our minds wandered this week.

The Lambcast drops back in time to the sophistication of William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, celebrity sleuths and socialites. Come and listen to us discuss the convoluted plots, charming people and sparkling dialogue of one of the most famous detective series of the golden age of Hollywood.
