The LAMBcast

Over the past few years we've sporadically held Newlyweds-style games to determine how well some of our blogging and podcasting couples know each others' movie tastes. Nine couples have entered and three have made their way to this show, the Lamby-Weds Tournament of Champions final!

Todd & Kristen from Walt Sent Me, Jason & Nolahn from The Lair of the Unwanted and Chris & Jon from The Popcorn Auteur duke it out to see who will be the Lamby-Weds champions in a show fraught with every possible technical difficulty under the sun. Who won? Who buckled under the new rules? Who picked their top Disney princess with a frankly concerning speed? Listen to find out!

The show can be found on iTunes, but the Lambcast archives are now also available on YourListen.com, so head over there to find all the past shows available for downloading and listening too! If you're interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster - we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod's Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. Opening song by Cake. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too, so if you've got any suggestions for the show, leave it in the comments section at the LAMB or contact us on Twitter, @lambcast. Please visit and like our Facebook page, and finally, we're on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it's a bad one. Thanks for listening!

Patience pays off for Lamb Jeanette Ward as the film she has been championing for months, has finally won. 2001's "Mean Machine", an English remake of "The Longest Yard", features a cast of U.K. actors taking over a sports, comedy, prison drama and making it their own.

Soccer personality and Guy Ritchie actor Vinnie Jones, basically plays himself, a disgraced footballer who goes to prison and has to find redemption in the game he betrayed.

Jodie Foster is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show here! Rob was joined by Richard of Kirkham - A Movie A Day to discuss all things Jodie Foster, but mainly the five performances of hers that they like the most. If you have any reviews, podcasts or features written or published about Jodie Foster or any film or TV show she has appeared in, send them to Rob at [email protected] by 15th November.

Six Lambs, Six Bonds, 24 Movies, Countless cars gadgets, villains and of course women results in a fun show as we draft components to make up our own 007 films.

Jay and Richard are joined by MovieRob, Jeanette Ward, Mark Hofmeyer and David Brook for a fifteen round extravaganza of Bond minutiae with discussion about weapons, plots and henchmen.

See who drafted the best list of components and hear how the players tried to arrange them into a film. This episode is a must for 007 fans but also a lot of fun for everyone else.

Alfred Hitchcock finally has a Lambcast Episode devoted to his Academy Award winning Best Picture. Of course the episode also contains a discussion of the 2020 Remake by Director Ben Wheatley. Come see what six Lambs thought of the two films on this weeks show.

Lambpardy is back, but not as you know it!

It's the dawn of a new age of Lambpardy. Gone are the previous contestants, gone is the winner-stays-on format, replaced instead with shiny new contestants and an even shinier, even newer tournament-style championship! The winner from today's show will not be back for the next one, they'll face off against the next two winners, then we'll reset back to square one until there's three champions, who will face off against each other and so on and forever until every film fan in the world has been defeated and then, and only then, will we truly know the Lambpardy champardy.

First on the podiums of this terrifying new order are Aaron Neuwirth, Cameron Kanachki and Darren Johnson. Who will ascend to the next level? Listen to find out who wins, as well as hear us discuss Hamilton (many times), Possession, David Byrne's American Utopia, Mad Max and Blackbird, amongst others!

Jay returns after a holiday, but continues to take it easy as Jason Soto, winner of the Movie of the Month hosts the discussion of Host (irony?)

Host will be both the most recent film to be a movie of the month winner but also the shortest movie of the month. It's October so spooky films were called for and this one fit the bill.

Kelly Preston is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show here! Rob was joined by Chris 'Tank" Tanski of Frightrags.com to discuss all things Kelly Preston, but mainly the five performances of hers that they like the most. If you have any reviews, podcasts or features written or published about Kelly Preston or any film or TV show she has appeared in, send them to Rob at [email protected] by 20th September.

The sudden vacuum on new product in the cinemas compels us to build our own content. So Lambs gather together and come up with eclectic lists of things we want to share with the audience. New, old, complete movies or just ideas, you only find out what we came up with if you listen.
