The Lance Jaynes Podcast

I have always felt led to do public speaking. Coming from someone who was incredibly shy and reserved most of my early life, it is quite a surprise to me too. The way I have always envisioned this happening was in front of a live audience, on a stage, to feel the energy of the crowd and to interact and give back so much passion and energy. I know that I have this unique gift and it requires no prep, drop me on a stage now and I will FLOW and connect with my audience.

Well, due to Covid, my first Keynote speaker address was virtual but an amazing and fulfilling experience regardless. The opportunity arose really out of chance. An old Twitter acquaintance had reconnected after years and she reached out to ask me if I would be willing to speak for the opening of their Annual Writers Conference (Rave Reviews Book Club). I was so excited but also I was entering uncharted waters. I think it is natural to have pause when one of your dreams comes true.

It was such an incredible experience. I truly connected with flow and gave my address for a little over 20 mins. My friend who asked me to speak called me before she was done viewing it and was almost in tears how moved she was. She said “If you aren’t doing this for a living, you NEED TO!” The feedback from all the members who saw it was so touching and inspiring.

I am so honored to have had this opportunity and I know future ones will come. This is an example of connecting with a calling, with entering a pure flow state. This is being a vehicle for God. I was not nervous and really didn’t prepare other than a one word outline. I am so grateful to have had this experience and to know that my gift was used to lift others up.

You too have a gift, a talent, something that you lose yourself in and that can help others too. Let that gift out! The day will come when I get to get on a stage, feed off the energy of the room and flow to serve others.

I’m honored to announce that my friend Tommy Hearn ( @element_concrete_design ) will be a regular guest on Higher Living Network.

Today we ‘Go down the rabbit hole’ discuss our experiences with Psychedelic Plant Medicines and how they have helped change our lives. From healing to inspiration and creativity, these plant medicines have been here for us through history. Since the late 60’s, these substances have been illegal, vilified and scare tactics have been used to discourage use. Up until the late 60’s, these medicines have been used by indigenous cultures as a part of development and healing.

I hope that this podcast/youtube can be of benefit to someone and that it prompts the discussion of these medicines that grow naturally for us. They hold so much potential for true healing, have dramatically altered both of our lives, so I feel it is worth discussing.

I am SO HONORED to have my amazing #Bonnaroo friend, Ali Daniel on Higher Living. Ali stood out from the moment that I met her when our camps combined one year. She was wearing an Oompah Loompah costume and had a sign around her neck that side “Smile if you Masterbate” haha. In subsequent years, when we camped in different locations, we always stayed in touch. I spend a good portion of my life with the mentality of a 7 year old, and Ali and her Fun, pranks and her awesome light she shines has been a blessing to have as a friend.

We discuss our Bonnaroo experiences-of all sorts- and Ali opens up to share more about herself. She is such an inspiration, a person who chooses to make life fun, not take it too seriously, and devotes her life to the service of others. She has overcome a lot and she is one who truly Chooses Happy Thank You Ali for being you, for inspiring me and many to make more time for fun and to give our best to serve others!

Angela is a long time friend and played an integral role in me beginning my podcasts/youtube channel. She is originally from San Diego and has lived in the Denver area for years.
