Can tarot predict the future? Or is tarot showing us something much more useful than a future that's already set in stone?
In this episode of The Language of Tarot Podcast, we're exploring how tarot actually works, the role of free will in tarot readings, and why a potential future is very different from a predetermined one.
Rather than thinking of tarot as a crystal ball that tells you exactly what will happen, we'll look at tarot as a tool for revealing your current patterns, beliefs, emotional dynamics and energetic trajectory. The cards may illuminate where you're currently heading, but that doesn't mean you're incapable of changing direction.
We'll also explore the ethics and potential dangers of predictive tarot readings. What happens when a tarot reader confidently tells someone their partner is cheating, their relationship will end, they're guaranteed to get a job or they've found their soulmate? These predictions don't just have the potential to be wrong. They can influence real decisions, create fear and even change the situation they claim to predict.
Then we'll take a deeper look at one of tarot's most misunderstood cards: the Ten of Swords.
Does the Ten of Swords really mean betrayal or being "stabbed in the back"?
We'll decode the card through the element of Air, the number Ten, Malkuth on the Tree of Life and its Golden Dawn title, the Lord of Ruin, to see why understanding tarot's symbolic language can lead to a very different interpretation.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• Can tarot really predict the future? • How tarot readings work with current energy and trajectory • Free will vs. destiny in tarot • Why tarot predictions aren't necessarily fixed outcomes • The dangers of predictive tarot readings • Why the Ten of Swords doesn't automatically mean betrayal • How to ask better questions in a tarot reading • How tarot can create greater awareness, choice and personal agency • Why learning tarot symbolism matters more than memorizing keywords
Maybe the most powerful question isn't, "Can tarot tell me what's going to happen?"
Maybe it's:
"Can tarot help me understand what I'm creating?"
Because tarot can illuminate the road you're traveling, but the cards don't live your life.
You do.

Learn Tarot: The High Priestess Card | What does the High Priestess really mean in tarot, and how do you move beyond memorizing keywords like intuition, mystery and secrets?
In this episode of The Language of Tarot Podcast, we explore the deeper meaning and symbolism of The High Priestess, Major Arcana II, and her place in the Fool’s Journey. Following The Magician’s outward movement of will and creation, The High Priestess turns our attention inward toward intuition, receptivity, inner wisdom and the things we sense before we can fully explain them.
We’ll explore the High Priestess through the interconnected symbolic language of tarot, including her number II and the meaning of polarity, the Hebrew letter Gimel and the camel’s journey across the unknown, her correspondence with the Moon, and her path between Kether and Tiphareth on the Tree of Life.
We’ll also look at the shadow side of High Priestess energy, including passivity, withdrawal, waiting endlessly for signs, confusing fear with intuition and even becoming overly dependent on tarot for answers.
Most importantly, you’ll learn how to interpret the High Priestess when she appears in a tarot reading by asking deeper questions than simply, “What does this card mean?”
Because tarot is a language, not a list of keywords.
In this episode:
• The High Priestess tarot card meaning • The High Priestess in the Fool’s Journey • Major Arcana II and the symbolism of Two • Gimel and the High Priestess • The Moon correspondence and intuition • The High Priestess on the Tree of Life • Kether, Tiphareth and the path across the Abyss • High Priestess shadow meanings • How to read the High Priestess in a tarot reading • Developing intuition and inner knowing through tarot

What if manifestation isn’t about attracting what you’re missing, but recognizing what is already in your hands?
In this episode of The Language of Tarot, we journey into The Magician tarot card and the symbolic language beneath its traditional meanings of manifestation, power and creation. Explore the movement from 0 to 1, The Magician’s connection with Mercury, the Hebrew letter Beth, the four elements, and its path on the Tree of Life, and discover how these correspondences reveal an archetype of conscious participation in our own becoming.
We’ll explore manifestation beyond positive thinking, the difference between co-creation and control, and the shadow of The Magician that appears when preparation becomes avoidance or personal power becomes manipulation. Most importantly, we’ll turn the card toward your own life and ask: What knowledge, experience, skills, desires and resources are already on your table, waiting for you to use them?

Aleph, Air & the Beautiful Uncertainty of Becoming
What if The Fool tarot card isn't really about being foolish, naive, or inexperienced? What if it represents something far more profound: the mysterious space between who you have been and who you are becoming?
In this first episode of The Language of Tarot, we journey beneath the traditional tarot keywords and into the deeper esoteric symbolism of The Fool. We'll explore why The Fool is numbered 0, its connection to the Hebrew letter Aleph, the element of Air, and its path between Kether and Chokmah on the Tree of Life, discovering how each correspondence tells the same beautiful story of possibility beginning its movement toward experience.
But this isn't only a lesson about tarot symbolism. It's an invitation to recognize The Fool within your own soul's journey. Those strange threshold moments when the old path no longer fits, the new one hasn't fully appeared, and something inside you has already begun to move. We'll explore the difference between uncertainty and being lost, willingness and confidence, openness and escape, and why you can carry a lifetime of wisdom while still standing before an experience you've never lived.
You'll also learn how to interpret The Fool in a tarot reading, including its balanced and shadow expressions, so you can move beyond simply reaching for "new beginnings" or "take a leap of faith" and begin reading the deeper symbolic language within the card.
If you're learning tarot, exploring tarot card meanings, astrology, numerology, Hebrew letters, Kabbalah, the Tree of Life, archetypes, or esoteric tarot symbolism, this episode is where our journey begins.
Because sometimes the beginning doesn't arrive with certainty.
Sometimes it begins with a breath.
A possibility.
A quiet stirring.
And one small movement toward what has not yet become.

What if tarot isn't simply something you learn, but a language that helps you understand the journey of your own soul?
Welcome to The Language of Tarot, a…
Hosted by tarot symbolism educator Tandi, each episode explores the rich world of tarot symbolism, astrology, numerology, archetypes, the elements, Hebrew letters, the Tree of Life, decans, and esoteric correspondences that give the cards their meaning.
But we're not studying symbolism simply to become better at memorizing tarot.
We're using it to understand ourselves.
Because tucked inside these 78 cards are stories we know intimately.
The courage it takes to begin again.
The strange wilderness of not knowing what comes next.
The relationships that change us.
The identities we outgrow.
The dreams calling us forward.
The things we must eventually leave behind.
And the person we're becoming along the way.
We'll explore why the Five of Cups speaks so beautifully to grief and what remains after loss. Why the Eight of Swords can reveal the invisible stories that keep us trapped. What Aries teaches us about the courage of The Emperor. And why The Fool, through the ancient symbolism of Aleph and Air, represents the breathtaking possibility that exists before something new begins.
Some weeks we'll wander deeply into a single tarot card. Other weeks we'll follow a symbol, planet, number, archetype, Hebrew letter or thread of ancient esoteric wisdom and discover where it leads us.
Along the way, you'll learn how tarot actually works as an interconnected symbolic language, so you can move beyond simply memorizing keywords and begin understanding why the cards mean what they mean.
Whether you're holding your first tarot deck or you've been reading for years, The Language of Tarot invites you to step a little deeper into the mystery.
Come wander through the cards.
Learn their language.
Follow the symbols.
And perhaps, somewhere between The Fool's first step and The World's final dance, you'll discover a little more about your own soul's journey.
Because tarot doesn't only give us a language for reading cards.
It gives us a language for reading the stories of our lives.
