Fasting is not about changing God, but about changing us by quieting the flesh so we can hear God more clearly. In this episode, Pastor Alex explains how fasting realigns our priorities, deepens our intimacy with God, and releases spiritual power when it is paired with prayer.

God’s love does not increase or decrease because of a fast, but fasting removes the distractions that dull our sensitivity to His voice and presence.

This episode challenges the youth to understand that fasting is not optional or reserved for pastors, but an expectation of every believer who desires to be more like Jesus. True hunger for God leads to transformation, breakthrough, and a life marked by spiritual power and miracles.

In this episode, Pastor Alex taught that the purpose of prayer is not routine or religion, but real transformation that comes from a genuine relationship with God. He explained that prayer is communication with a loving Father, not something awkward, boring, or reserved only for moments of crisis.

Even with every reason to be busy, Jesus prioritized prayer, showing that true power and direction flow from time spent with God. Pastor Alex unpacked the model of prayer Jesus gave us, beginning with praise, surrender, and alignment to God’s will rather than just making requests. He challenged the youth to see prayer as a privilege, approach God boldly, and trust that when we seek Him first, everything else falls into place.

In this service, Pastor Alex taught that God’s fire is not meant to be a one-time encounter, but a continual, refining presence that marks and transforms our lives. He used the imagery of the burning bush and refining fire to show how God removes impurity, brands us as His own, and calls us to stay burning rather than briefly catching fire and fading out. Pastor Alex emphasized that spiritual maturity comes from learning how to build and sustain your own fire with God, not relying on other people’s encounters or past moments. He broke down the three ingredients of a lasting fire—tinder (the initial encounter), kindling (daily discipline and obedience), and fuel (your personal history with God). He concluded by challenging us to continually pursue God, fan into flame the gifts He has given us, and live with consistent passion, growth, and expectation.
