We are joined by Raylene Lightheart and her lesser-half to talk about the movie "Contagion" about a global pandemic that some have mistaken as footage of current events. This should be a healthy discussion on a serious topic that will be both thought-provoking and entertaining.
Join us next week as we welcome back to the stage, Mr. Mike C. to discuss yet another Michael Mann film, "The Last of the Mohicans".

It’s hard to believe it was over 30 years ago that this movie kicked off the comic book movie era once again (and nearly killed it a few sequels later). We are of course talking about Tim’ Burton’s Batman from 1989.
We bring back Shaheen, our man from Adelaide for this one as he is our go-to for all things Batman and DCEU.
Set the scene: the last time we see Batman and Joker on screen, it's Adam West and Cesar Romero surfing with sharks that Fonzie later jumped over, anti-shark spray in the campy 60's TV show. Then you've got the director of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure making a film starring Mr. Mom as Barman, and of the the great actors of his generation dictating his own shooting schedule complete with top-billing. To say people were concerned would be an understatement.
Next week, we come down with something as we bring back Raylene Lightheart and her lesser-half for a discussion of “Contagion”.

We're the captains now, with our pal Jared Wall of Breaking Liberty. This is a Valentine's Day episode for us, which we will elaborate on during the show. Everything is going to be OK.
In April 2009, the U.S. containership Maersk Alabama sails toward its destination on a day that seems like any other. Suddenly, Somali pirates race toward the vessel, climb aboard and take everyone hostage. The captain of the ship, Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks), looks to protect his crew from the hostile invaders, and their leader, Muse (Barkhad Abdi). The pirates are after millions of dollars, and Phillips must use his wits to make sure everyone survives and returns home safely.
Join us next week on this same bat-channel, at this same bat-time as we bring back Shaheen to discuss Tim Burton's "Batman" from 1989 starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson.

We're professional appreciators and don our Cosby sweaters to talk about "High Fidelity" with one of our Top 5 guests, Nicky P. of the recently rebranded Peace Freqs. There's plenty to discuss in this music-inspired movie with a music-minded guest as we review this film, which is unassailably cool.
Let's get it on.
We'll be back next week to do the Valentine's Day film, "Captain Phillips" with our friend Jared Wall of Breaking Liberty.

We venture into and pick apart the internal logic of the film, which kinda ruins it in some ways. However, it is still an enjoyable popcorn flick that gave us plenty to talk about in our wide-ranging discussion that covers red flag laws, conspiracy vs. reality, Alex Jones and more.
Join us next week as we bring you the origin of the Kathleen Turner Overdrive as we discuss "High Fidelity" with Nicky P of Peace Freqs (formerly known as Sounds Like Liberty).

We talk about the Matthew McConaughey movie, "Gold" with Jared Wall of Breaking Liberty. He was our guest recently for the Breaking Bad movie, “El Camino” and he suggested this one while we were doing that episode. “Gold” is an unbelievable story based on true events, and it gets more fantastical at every turn, and even includes helicopter rides. This was a lot of fun to talk about.
See you next week as we discuss the Netflix documentary about kratom called “Leaf of Faith” with John Bush of Brave Botanicals.

Nazis v commies, it's hard to choose. Scott Morrison returns to help sort it out as we discuss "Enemy at the Gates".
We invite back Rachel Kennerly of "Cannabis Heals Me" to discuss M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village". The movie has the expected twist that has become on of Shyamalan's tropes, however, I think the twist we will have on this will be even better.
The premise of the movie will give us plenty of fodder for discussion as we get into instilling fear to maintain control as the benevolent overseers infantilize the populace for their own good, the greater good - or do they?

To celebrate the ringing in of the new year, we harken back to the auld rom-com well with a double-dose of both crude humor and witty charm in the holiday classic, "When Harry Met Sally".
When we decide to have someone to have as a guest on this here show, we want to have them on as soon as possible. We’ll have what she’s having, it’s the wonderful Raylene Lightheart of Blastoff! With Johnny Rocket.
This will be a fun romp through one of her favorite movies that left an indelible mark on popular culture even now, thirty years on. We get into the weeds on the emotional maturation journey for the title characters and have a great discussion.
Join us next week as we mark the return of Rachel Kennerly of "Cannabis Heals Me" to talk about M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village".
