We swing into action for Mother's Day to talk about Into the Spider-verse with Jack V Lloyd and the Pholosopher, two of the hardest working AnCap in the business.

This will be a fun discussion as we go deep into comic lore and find the economic and moral angles that free-wheel our episodes into the third-rail of cultural Marxism.

  • Galaxy Quest - Free-market Movie Review

It was just earth day, so we thought we'd get off this filthy rock and head out on a Galaxy Quest.  This is a fun homage movie to the Star Trek universe that stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman among others in a fun jaunt that may not give us much to talk about.  We shall see.  Never give up, never surrender.

The alumni cast of a cult space TV show have to play their roles as the real thing when an alien race needs their help.

By Grabthar's Hammer, by the Sons Of Warvan, you shall be avenged!

  • The Passion of the Christ - Free-market Movie Review

We are joined by Stephen from AnarchoChristian to discuss the Mel Gibson movie, "The Passion of the Christ" for Easters.  This was a potential powder-keg of an episode with two atheists and a Christian guest with a very controversial movie that intersects the not-polite conversation topics of politics and religion.  We cross the streams for this extra-long Easter episode.

The Passion of The Christ focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth’s life. The film begins in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to pray after The Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confirm him with the accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death.

We dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge our way through the mid-aughts classic, Dodgeball with our new friend Tyler.  A group of misfits enter a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament in order to save their cherished local gym from the onslaught of a corporate health fitness chain.  It's a bold strategy Cotton, but we're going to go balls deep into the NAP on this one.

  • The Truman Show - Free-Market Movie Review

We pop into biosphere II in the Dark-City dome from the Hunger Games to battle it out with the socialist, Jim Carrey, as we discuss his 1998 film "The Truman Show" directed by Peter Weir.

The movie is all about a utopian central-planner playing the role of a god (or a government for that matter) in the life of an unwitting subject of their hubris of control.  There is plenty of philosophical meat to chew on in this one.

We get into a wordy discussion with our returning guest Mike C. who admirably filled in for our other friend, Olof the Anarcho-Viking, who had a scheduling conflict arise recently.  We will be sure to have him on for a movie discussion in the near future.

Join us next week as we continue with our bold strategy and see it is pays off when we discuss

Dodgeball with one of our new friends, Tyler.

  • Behind the Curve - Free-Market Movie Review

We're about to get crazy with the cheeze-wiz.  Where is the curvature? This old-world idea has been resurrected in recent years, even some NBA players had made claims to it...that the Earth is flat.

In libertarian circles, it has been one more useful tool in the process of weeding out FB friends.

The flat-earthers feel like they are the correct and they are a marginalized group on the edge of science that follows the Gandhi “first they laugh at you.”

    We shall discuss.

Join us next week as we continue our series on flat-earth for our episode on “The Truman Show” with returning guest, Olof the Anarcho-Viking.

  • Dark City - Movie Review

We do an analysis of Dark City with special guest, Nicky P. of the Sounds Like Liberty Podcast, which can also be found on the Launch Pad Media.  This was a pick by Nick and I'm glad he did.  We'll find our way to Shell Beach with him on the barrelhead.

Separated from his wife Emma, amnesiac John Murdoch awakens alone in a strange hotel to learn he is wanted for a series of brutal killings.  Things get weird when we are introduced to the Borg-like vampires who control the world above in tabernacle-choir fashion using their collective telekinesis to reshape the lives of others. Their quest to save their species by understanding what it means to be “human” creates a dystopian laboratory on a floating disc in space.

Join us next week for our episode on Behind the Curve, where we go to infinity and beyond on the Flat Earth documentary available now on Netflix.
