Both started the year strong — hitting personal bests and the world standard — but finished 4th and 5th at the U.S. Championships, just outside of qualifying for the World Championships in Tokyo. Or at least, not yet.

With one spot on the U.S. team still up in the air — and Matt recovering from a broken foot — the guys are left to navigate a difficult decision: who will run in Tokyo?
