Such sweet sorrow
This one really exceeded my expectations. For the most part, I did not want to put it down! It is a very well-rounded novel that incorporates love, loss, strength, family, relationships, secrets, surprise, healing, etc. The main characters are easy to like, and I found myself rooting for all of them. Although the main subject matter of the plot is not a happy one, the novel continually shines. I laughed, I was touched, & was surprised in a great way. I read constantly, and this is one of my favorite novels of the year so far. I will be checking out the author again, for sure! The narration was amazing, I adore Julia Whelan and her performance here enhances the novel in my opinion. I was out of credits and purchased this one, and it was very much worth every penny!
Great book
One of the biggest obstacles reading a book via Audible is liking the reader's voice. This narrator was great. The story was amazing. It was a great cry!
amazing book. Loved the story.
Hard to read / listen to if you know someone who committed suicide, especially if they were family or significant other. Therapeutic for me.
An amazing book! and narrator ;)
This was a very thought provoking book. There were a few places tht had me in tears.
Just Another Sad Suicide Story? NOT!!
I fell in love with Cynthia Hand's writing while enjoying her Unearthly series, and I must say I was not disappointed with her latest. She has such a relatable way of approaching the subject of death and suicide that just touches the heart, and of coarse Miss Julia Whelan just knocked the narrating performance out of the park (as with anything she narrates). Keep these great stories coming Cynthia. This fan can't wait to see what's next!
