Desires versus duty... at times the two will be in conflict. For instance, perhaps your child has a desire to go to a certain party that you've forbidden them from, and it is their duty to obey your will. The apostle Paul had a desire to go to Rome, yet duty called him to Jerusalem. He obeyed the will of God for his life in this matter, and we'll be encouraged to do the same in our lives as well.
