The state of Georgia almost certainly executed an innocent man last week, and it really has my jimmies rustled, and my heart broken. I'll break down the full story for you. What's in the News with stories on cop suing mother after he killed her kid, DOJ banning bump stocks, right to try, fining beggars, and lies on Syria. And, a new Herding Cats update on lots of news, and a discount code, for PorcFest XV! This episode is brought to you by ZenCash, a cryptocurrency that infuses privacy, anonymity, and security done right. WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIES
The state of Georgia almost certainly executed an innocent man last week, and it really has my jimmies rustled, and my heart broken. Carlton Michael Gary was executed on March 15th for the supposed rape and murder of seven elderly, white women in Columbus over eight terrifying months from September 1977 to April 1978.
This is one of the worst miscarriages of justice I've ever seen, and I follow this sort of stuff regularly. Gary was murdered by the state of Georgia after not accepting a final prayer and making no statement, keeping his eyes closed through the entire process while a lethal dose of pentobarbital was shot into his veins by the government.
That's why I give money every month to the Innocence Project, an organization that works to exonerate the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. The Innocence Project's mission is to free the staggering number of innocent people who remain incarcerated and to bring reform to the system responsible for their unjust imprisonment. As of today, the Innocence Project has helped to exonerate 354 people in the United States, including 38 who pleaded guilty to crimes they did not commit and 20 who served time on death row. These people served an average of 14 years in prison before exoneration and release. I encourage you to help this organization out by going to https://www.innocenceproject.org/ today.
Interestingly, my good friend and supporter of this show, Darryl W. Perry, has signed up to run the 2018 New York City Marathon under the banner of the Innocence Project. To do so, he needs to raise $3,500 for the Innocence Project. He's already raised over $500 of this total, and has just been given a pledge for matching donations of the next $1,500 he raises, which will put him over the top! So please, I beg you, go to http://run.freetalklive.com to donate to this today and double every dollar that you give to this super important cause. All of the money raised will go directly to the Innocence Project. I would consider it a personal favor if you helped with this cause. Thank you.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS
In I can't make this shit up news, an Albuquerque, New Mexico police officer has decided to sue the mother of a child he killed as he collided with her vehicle while speeding through an intersection at twice the legal speed limit.
In shall not be infringed news, the U.S. Department of Justice formally submitted a regulation to ban "bump stocks," a modification to high-capacity rifles that lets them fire like an automatic weapon.

In beggars can't be choosers news, the council of the town of Poole, England has confirmed plans to issue 100 pound fines to beggars. The fines will begin on April 16th.
In unusual admission news, Secretary of Defense James Mattis made the statement that the US has no evidence that the Syrian government used the banned nerve agent Sarin against its own people, even though that claim was held up as fact by interventionists who wanted an excuse to get involved in the Syrian quagmire and to justify an American Tomahawk missile strike in which several dozen of the cruise missiles were used against the Shayrat airbase in Syria.
In some personal news, the town I live in, Milton, New Hampshire, held their town election last week. Thanks to a friend of mine and fellow Free Stater, Glen Bailey, there was a motion on the ballot to disincorporate the town completely.

Trump has gone full-on authoritarian in a trifecta of comments and actions. Are you surprised? What's in the News with stories on square root guns, banks scared of crypto, coward cops update, lost money, and US arming ISIS. Also, an Ancap Apps update on why I no longer recommend Tor Browser. Finally, a #NHItsLikeThisToo with some news on liberty in the state! This episode is brought to you by ZenCash, a cryptocurrency that infuses privacy, anonymity, and security done right. Also brought to you by NordVPN, the fastest, easiest to use service to protect your online presence that I've ever seen.
WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIES
Holy shit, guys. I pay so little attention to national politics these days because it has so little effect on me here in New Hampshire, but I could not miss Trumps latest ridiculous totalitarian comments. And, this is the fucking guy that some libertarians, including one of my favorite libertarians, Walter Block, actually supported!
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS In no tolerance, no brains news, a discussion among students at Oberlin High School in Oberlin, La., about a mathematical symbol led to a police investigation and a search of one of the student’s homes. In no shit Sherlock news, Bank of America, one of the world’s largest financial institutions, admitted in an annual report that cryptocurrencies are a threat to its business model. In Coward Cops update news, shortly after I wrote the Jimmies segment in last week's episode about the coward resource officer who hid like a little baby during the school shooting in Florida, it was released that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered. And, what's worse is that the Miramar Police Department has suspended two officers from their SWAT team for responding to the school shooting without having orders to do so. In it's only stolen money news, an annual financial report released by the US Treasury this month showed the government lost over a trillion dollars in 2017. That is more than Australia’s entire Gross Domestic Product. In old news news, an extensive field investigation into the origins of Isis’ weaponry in Syria and Iraq has found that weapons supplied by the US and Saudi Arabia to the Syrian opposition often ended up in the jihadis’ hands, enhancing the “quantity and quality” of their armaments. ANCAP APPS
In an Ancap App update, a piece of software I've recommended in the past has now been moved off of my recommended list. The Tor Project hailed as a bulwark against the encroaching surveillance state, has received funding from a US government agency and cooperates with intelligence agencies.
Tor, the free software which enables anonymous communication over the internet, is a “privatized extension of the very same government that it claimed to be fighting,” claims journalist Yasha Levine, who obtained 2,500 pages of correspondence about the project via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
NEW HAMPSHIRE, IT'S LIKE THIS TOO
There have been some interesting updates in New Hampshire that give us even more freedoms in the state.
First of all, the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed a bill banning the use of “sobriety checkpoints” by state and local police departments, following long-running criticism that the practice is unconstitutional and ineffective.
Secondly, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted to kill a bill that would have increased oversight for homeschool students. House bill 1263 would have required that homeschool students have their annual assessments reviewed by either state officials or nonpublic school principals.
A cowardly cop really has my jimmies rustled this week, and my blood is boiling. What's in the News with stories on crypto deregulation, taxation is theft, porn is a health risk but apparently, alcohol for fetuses is not, and homelessness is not a crime! And, another Ask Me Anything where I get caught up on your questions.
WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIES
There are stories that piss me off, then there are stories that rustle my jimmies, and then... there are stories like this one that makes my blood boil and my head explode.
As you all know, there was another school shooting recently in Florida that resulted in the death of 17 people. The fucker who did this was captured and is facing justice, as he should. Because he selected a gun-free zone to perpetuate his mass-murder, he had pretty much free reign to commit his crime.
But, new information has come out that shows that there was another gun on the campus at the time of this event, a gun supposedly in the hands of a good guy; a gun that could have nipped this event in the bud, similar to what happened in the Pearl, Mississippi school shooting back in 1997. In that case, the school vice-principle went to his truck and retrieved his .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol and held the shooter at gunpoint until the police arrived.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS
In crypto is not theft news, a new tax bill has been introduced in the Wyoming state senate on Feb. 16 that would exempt virtual currencies from state property taxation and suggests an effective date be provided for the tax exemption implementation.
In taxation is theft news, Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates says he should pay more in taxes and that the government should require other superwealthy people like him to contribute "significantly higher" amounts.
In protecting you from yourself news, the Florida Legislature is declaring pornography as a health risk. The resolution states a need for education, research and policy changes to protect Floridians, especially teenagers, from pornography.
In more government force news, In New York City, it is now illegal for a bartender to refuse alcoholic drinks to pregnant women.
In homelessness is not a crime news, enforcement of new regulations targeting homeless people who live in their vehicles have started in Los Angeles. The new rules dictate where people living in RVs and cars can park.
ASK ME ANYTHING
And here we go with another Ask me Anything! I'm trying to get through the backlog of questions I've had for a few weeks, so let's jump right in!
Happy President's Day! Here's what we should really be celebrating for this, and every, President's Day. What's in the News with stories on IRS denying passports, guard dogs, civil forfeiture reforms, zero tolerance, and FBI failure. Also, and Ask Me Anything segment where I answer your tough questions.
This week is president's day, a day we're supposed to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. Yeah, right. But, the history of the day is just ridiculous. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. You heard that right. The day was literally created to give folks a new day off of work, which is fine and dandy if you work for the government. But, fuck all you peasants, like me, who have to go to work on that day.
So, in order to celebrate President's Day, let's take a look at the worst presidents our country has ever had, all 43 of them. Well, unfortunately, we can't do that since this show is only half an hour long, so let's knock that down to the very worst of the worst.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS
In debtor's prison news, beginning this month, the Internal Revenue Service will begin denying passports to some American citizens with unpaid taxes and, in some cases, revoking the passports of Americans with tax delinquencies. The government will in effect place those with unpaid taxes under arrest, effectively denying them their right to travel.
In guard dog news, KSDK in Portland, Ore, put three dogs to the test to find out what dogs would to do a burglar if he tried to break into your home and inadvertently found out that cops killing dogs because the cops are cowards holds even less weight than they thought.
In legalized theft news, in January, Republican state senators in Alabama introduced legislation to reform civil forfeiture. The bill makes the radical suggestion that property rights cannot be taken away without due process.
In zero tolerance, zero logic news, a high school in Ledyard, Connecticut, called the cops on a 17-year-old student who made a non-threatening comment about a gun in class. Police then arrested him, and he now faces charges of breaching the peace. According to Ledyard High School Principal Amanda Fagan, the student said, "I could buy an AR-15" or something very similar. That's it.
In school shooting news, the FBI failed to act on a tip about Nikolas Cruz, the confessed shooter in the Parkland, Florida, school massacre, the bureau said in a statement.
ASK ME ANYTHING
It's that time again, where I answer your questions! As I mentioned last week, I have a bit of a backlog on these questions because the participation I received was much larger than I anticipated! Thank you all for your awesome questions.

From Criminal Cops last week to Private Police this week, I wonder which ones are more successful? What's in the News with stories on zero tolerance, deadly cops, rapist cops, graffiti trumps property rights, Tide Pod bans, and Pentagon loses more money. Plus, a special Herding Cats episode on a follow up from Liberty Forum and big news for PorcFest XV. WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIES
After last week's Criminal Cops episode, I was thrilled to see the article on Private Police that I'll be covering in this episode. Apparently, in Britain, there is a new completely private police force probing hundreds of crimes, including murder and rape, and they have a 100 percent conviction rate so far. They have prosecuted more than 400 criminals and are led by former Scotland Yard senior officers.
The name of the firm is TM Eye, and they are now believed to bring more private convictions than any other organization except for the RSPCA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWS
In zero tolerance, zero brains news, 22-year old track coach, Tayler Boncal, is being charged with three counts of felony sexual assault, on a man who is 18 years old. I shit you not.
In fuck the police news, a Tennessee sheriff is being sued for using excessive force after he was recorded boasting he told officers to shoot a man rather than risk damaging police cars by ramming him off the road.
In kidnapped consent news, 18-year-old Anna was kidnapped from a parked car by two plainclothes detectives for having weed in the car. Handcuffed and kidnapped by the two over-six-feet tall detectives who were powerfully built, Anna, a slender woman just over five feet tall, was put into the back of an unmarked police van with tinted windows, where she was raped by both officers while repeatedly telling them, "No."
In what the actual fuck news, ruling that graffiti — a typically transient form of art — was of sufficient stature to be protected by the law, a federal judge in Brooklyn awarded a judgment of $6.7 million on Monday to 21 graffiti artists whose works were destroyed in 2013 at the 5Pointz complex in Long Island City, Queens. No, I can't make this shit up.
In the stupid protecting the stupid news, New York State Legislators have unveiled a bill that would require all detergent packages, such as Tide Pods, sold in New York to be of a uniform color that is "unattractive to children." The product would also have to come wrapped in child bite–resistant packaging. Also, there would need to be a warning label informing would-be Tide Pod champions that the product is dangerous to eat.
In it's only stolen money news, the Pentagon failed to track more than $800 million in construction spending adequately, according to an internal audit of one of the Defense Department's largest agencies.
HERDING CATSI'm fresh off of the New Hampshire Liberty Forum high from this weekend! I love Liberty Forum because it is a huge family reunion for me. I get to see so many people who are family, plus I get to continue to grow my liberty family by meeting new, amazing people. This year, I stayed pretty busy at the event because I had to man the PorcFest table to sell early bird tickets for this year's event. And, I was asked to moderate two different panels of podcasters and captain two off-site dinners related to liberty media. But I still found time to hang out with the most amazing people on the planet.
And, this weekend we announced our first speaker and musical act for PorcFest. BackWordz, a solid libertarian ancap rap metal band from Texas fronted by Eric July, co-founder of the Being Libertarian Facebook Page and very outspoken anarcho-capitalist.
And, while we have them there, Eric July will be speaking on the Main Pavillion stage. This is the first of many announcements we will have in the upcoming weeks, but don't miss out on your Early Bird tickets now by going to thelavaflow.com/pf. Get your Early Bird Tickets today and save $30 before March 1st at thelavaflow.com/pf.

WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIESIf you've ever seen the movie Traning Day, there are two things you come away with. Denzel Washington is an amazing actor, and cops are shitheels for the most part. However, who knew that real life cops imitated art as much as they do in this instance?
Eight members of Baltimore's elite Gun Trace Task Force have been accused of a range of organized crime-level charges that range from robbery and extortion, to faking evidence, planting drugs, dealing drugs, and other serious crimes. Six of the officers, Sergeants Thomas Allers and Wayne Jenkins, and Detectives Momodu Gondo, Evodio Hendrix, Maurice Ward, and Jemell Rayam, have all pleaded guilty. Instead, he languished in pretrial detention—jail—for nearly seven years before he finally appeared before a jury, which convicted him in 2015.
In drug warrior news, Jeff Sessions is in a court battle with a 12-year-old medical marijuana patient with epilepsy, because he's cool like that.
In education or else news, students in New Mexico would have to apply to a college or commit to some other post-graduation plan in order to graduate from high school, under a bill working its way through the state's legislature.
ASK ME ANYTHINGIt's that time again. That time where you get to ask me whatever you want. Also, for the second time in a row, I've received a lot more questions that I thought I would, so I won't be able to tackle them all in this episode. Hell, I'm still catching up on ones I couldn't get to last time! As always, I'm going to hit my supporters questions first, then the rest. But rest assured if you didn't hear your question answered here yet, I still have it and I will get to it soon. I promise!

What's in the News with stories on tax relief impacts, TSA getting the finger, minimum wage impacts, gas tax profits, separation of marriage and state, and US Border Patrol being evil. WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIESWe won! The government shut down and no one died. Almost no one was even inconvenienced except perhaps some federal employees. Hell, even the Smithsonian and the National Zoo didn't close their doors. The US Legislature didn't even shut down. They will still completely ruling over us and deciding our fates during the supposed shutdown. This was not a shutdown. It was a magic trick.
But here's the fucking kicker. Here's the proof that these supposed government shutdowns are nothing more than window dressing, a huge sham on the people, tugs at heartstrings, and fucking extortion. It actually costs the government more money to shut down that it does to remain open. The shutdown actually costs the government, or in other words you and me as taxpayers, tens of millions of dollars more a day than if they were to stay open. I shit you not. How could that possibly be?
WHAT'S IN THE NEWSIn theft news, after Trump's tax plan went through, several companies had good news for their employees.

In church and state news, the Alabama Senate has approved a bill that would do away with marriage licenses and the requirement for people to go through a wedding ceremony.
In government is evil news, the United States Border Patrol is being accused of vandalizing lifesaving water aid stations in the desert, essentially giving a death sentence to migrants. According to a report published by No More Deaths, a Tucson-based humanitarian group, this is "widespread and routine."
In more government is evil news, the US House of Representatives voted to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act by a vote of 241-183.
PAX LIBERTAS PRODUCTIONS TRAILERIt's been a while since I released a new show on Pax Libertas Productions, but this is one that you are going to want to check out if you have kids, if you're thinking of having kids, or even if you just talk to other people, because this podcast is going to be a great resource for you to learn effective tools for being more peaceful in your interactions. WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIESOn my list of potential episode topics, I've had free market healthcare vs. socialist healthcare for a long time, but have just never had a good chance to get to it yet. Well, with the recent news that Britain has canceled 50,000 surgeries due to overcrowding at hospitals this winter, I felt like now was a great time for the discussion.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWSIn more new laws in 2018 news, no friend to liberty Germany on January 1st began enforcing strict rules that could fine major internet sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube up to $60 million if they don't remove posts containing hate speech within 24 hours of receiving a complaint.
In government insanity news, a suburban Chicago resident who was offering up “slumber parties” in his basement for homeless people in his neighborhood during dangerously cold weather says city officials have given him an ultimatum, either stop the "slumber parties" or the house will be condemned.
In cannabis makes people crazy news, after the largest state in the country just started allowing legal, recreational cannabis, Attorney General Jess "FuckStick" Sessions has rescinded an Obama-era policy that paved the way for legalized marijuana to flourish in states across the country, creating new confusion about enforcement and use.
In government theft news, the US government has been approved by a federal judge in Utah to auction off 513 bitcoin and 512 Bitcoin Cash seized from an investigation into Aaron Michael Shamo, a dark web drug dealer.

As with every year, there are a ton of new laws around the country starting on January 1st. I take a look at these and decide if it is a good or bad year for liberty. What's in the News with stories on government banning drivers, government banning bulletproof glass, Canada recreational cannabis, government being sued, cop deaths down, and cops kill an unarmed man. And, and Ancap Apps segment on Edward Snowden's new app, Haven. This episode is brought to you by Tom Woods's Liberty Classroom, helping you to become a smarter and more informed libertarian than ever before, for just 24 cents a day. Also brought to you by NordVPN, the fastest, easiest to use service to protect your online presence that I've ever seen.
WHAT’S RUSTLING MY JIMMIESAs is my New Year's tradition on this show, let's take a look at some of the hundreds or thousands of new laws that have taken affect with the new year, then I'll try to decide if it's a net negative, a net positive, or a draw for liberty.
WHAT'S IN THE NEWSIn government solutions news, only the government would decide that the best way to fix traffic problems would be to ban drivers.
In statism kills news, the Philadelphia City Council has passed a bill which enables the city’s Licenses and Inspections department to regulate the bullet-resistant barricade that stands between customers and cash registers in many neighborhood corner stores.
In ending prohibition news, Canada is poised to become the first G7 country to legalize recreational cannabis. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau introduced legislation in April designed to legalize recreational marijuana by July 2018. Canada’s Cannabis Act was introduced in the Canadian Senate, its last legislative stop after Parliament passed the bill 200 to 82.
In Jimmies update news, back in episode 55 of this show, I talked about the mess around the Oroville Dam near-disaster in California that was brought about by government incompetence. Even though it wasn't the disaster it could have been, there were still damage claims flooding into the state by the hundreds – shops and restaurants that lost business, farms that got overwhelmed by surges in water, cities and counties buried in evacuation expenses.
In police officer deaths news, the number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty dropped sharply in 2017, marking the second-lowest toll in more than 50 years.
And speaking of cop murder news, Kansas cops killed an unarmed man for being pranked in a swatting call.
ANCAP APPSIf you've listened to this show for any amount of time, you know I am a huge fan of Edward Snowden for putting his life and future on the line to let the media know about massive government spying and surveillance on most, if not all, Americans. Well, this week's Ancap App is an application in-part designed by Edward Snowden himself. The Guardian Project and Freedom Of The Press were also involved in the development of the application.
The app is called Haven.
Haven can be downloaded via Google Play and open source Android app store F-Droid.
