Ingrid is mom to an energetic toddler boy, a career professional, a postpartum doula, and the Latina solo founder of Working Momkind. Her passion for empowering moms came right after her son's birth when she realized the importance of community within motherhood and set off to build it. As the one-woman shop supporting over 215,000 working moms, Ingrid feels personally connected to each one’s struggle and aspirations.
Kaila spoke with Ingrid about her experience with maternity leave and going back to work after building and birthing a whole new human, the sheer lack of education (and support) surrounding paid maternity leave in the US, and the logistical and emotional demands of separating from your sweet babe to continue to kick ass at work. While discussing these lesser known parenting realities, the two moms also managed to hit it off extremely well as they bonded over social media boundaries and going Number 2.
