This Sunday's texts are from Isaiah 43:1-7, Romans 6:1-11, and Luke 3:15-22.  The Romans recording is a repeat from this same Sunday in Year B.  You'll notice, nothing in these texts actually discusses why Jesus was baptized.  Only Matthew gives us that.

Epiphany is celebrated each year on January 6th.  Some of our churches may use these readings from Isaiah 60:1-6, Ephesians 3:1-12, and Matthew 2:1-12.
