We come to the beginning of Holy Week, with readings from Zechariah 9:9-12, Philippians 2:5-11, and Mark 14-15.  Having already covered the first two readings in previous episodes, today we cover the passion narrative of Christ from Mark's gospel.

We read this weekend about the new covenant of God's forgiveness for us (Jeremiah 31:31-34), how Jesus is our great High Priest (Hebrews 5:1-10), and we see how Jesus' kingdom is not like this world's kingdoms, nor is it what the disciples expect it to be (Mark 10:(32-34) 35-45).

A couple of the most famous verses in God's Word show up this weekend, with Ephesians 2:1-10 (8-9 that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works) and John 3:14-21 (16, for God so loved the world).  Also, we pair those up with Numbers 21:4-9 and the plague of fiery serpents.
