This 2 for 1 espisode is a lot of fun. We start of with Nationally know DJ Dank Williams. Dank talks about getting started in the industry and great things he's been doing this year.
Next, Bryant Barnhill talks about his racing season so far and the high competition level he's been facing.
Both of these guys have been extremely successful in their careers. We enjoyed getting a sneak peak behind the scenes of how these guys get prepared and how they go about business.
In between segments we also got a segment of a custom made track by Lord Electric.

DJ Dank
-As a kid, Dank started working to buy his first equipment - the start of an amazing career
-His goal: Be a better person every day
-From a young age he new he had a passion for music
-Dank enjoys many of the singers and CCMF and mentioned watching out for rising star and "power house" Jessica Rose.
-Dank's been on some cool comedy tours lately including the "Glitter and Grit" tour and with comedian Southern Momma
-Particularly heart warming - he is involved with Best Medicine Brigade and Operation HEAL*ARIOUS. It's a military focused operation focused on healing through music and comedy.  The tour will culminate with a finale on the Jimmy Fallon Show on November 11th.
Bryant Barnhill
-Attended CCMF this year and enjoyed the event
-He talked about the CARS Tour series and the high level of competition
-Bryant talked about racing against Dale Earnhardt Jr and other high level drivers
-He compares racing in the Truck series versus the CARS and the uptick in competition
-The difference between his personality on the track (intense) versus off the track and how it turns on
-The start of the Asphalt Cowboy concept "Wrestling 3,100 lbs of steel on the track"
-Bryant mentioned how he works with sponsors and the benefit of a NASCAR sponsorship with Bryant Barnhill Racing. It's a unique way to market your business which is more active marketing than your typical approach.

We are thankful for both of these professionals and learned a lot from them on the show.

Carolina Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year, Greg Parrish, talks with The Leader Mentality Show about his inspirations in country music, writing music and performing with his band.
Greg also shares some of his newly released songs with us at the end of the show.
While our audio is not designed for studio recording, you can still hear how powerful Greg's voice is and the skills of the amazing band he has playing with him.

Greg's a friend of the show and always a lot of fun. Here were some of our show takeaways:

-These guys are fans of music in general. They do like to watch performances when they are not performing.
-Greg says the band likes to make fun of each other behind the scenes which makes things fun
-They write their songs as a team effort often
-We actually got to see a new song they had never practiced after the songs they performed on the show. It was really interesting to watch the collaboration amongst the band members on how to adjust different parts for the final product.
-Greg loves the energy of the fans and he wants to make it entertaining for them
-The goal of the show is to "Leave it all on the stage" - they want to know when it's over that they made it the best experience for the fans
-Check out their new album - the songs they played were just a small sample of the full album
-Greg is continuing to grow and play venues all over the region - watch out because the best is yet to come

Country music performer, Lauren Hall, joined The Leader Mentality Show during CCMF to share so many powerful messages in her journey to meeting her goals.

Lauren is very talented and truly a breath of fresh air in this show as she tells her story.  She shared her younger life in which she was shy and had fears in singing in front of others and how the encouragement of her father helped her to develop her talents. Since this show was between her performances at the Carolina Country Music Festival she gave us a glimpse of what it means to be a performer ranging from: short nights of sleep, pre show nerves and goals to get onto the biggest stage.

Some show highlites:
-Lauren's dad first recognized her great "pitch" and she would sing while he played the drums
-She has a new album coming out!
-Her nervousness still happens, but she's learned to control it and actually recognizes those nerves signify that something is really important to you (great lesson to learn for everyone)
-She writes songs from real life experiences and sometimes incorporates past relationships (we have fun hearing about this one)
-Lauren is from Charleston as loves playing at CCMF in Myrtle Beach
-She informed us about the Darius Rucker Riverfront Revival (we want to check this out)

 In this special Dragon Boat Festival episode, we are on the scene at Market Common with Ground Zero's Stephanie Sebring as she describes the event and the difference it makes for the community.
True Leadership is not about being on top - it's about lifting up others and no one is better to speak about this than Stephanie from Ground Zero. Year after year, Ground Zero provides a safe and inspiring place for youth in our community to get fellowship with others and grow as people. 
The Dragon Boat Festival plays a huge role in funding the operations of Ground Zero by fund raising, sponsorships and Vendor participation.
Some big takeaways from the show:
-The Dragon Boat Festival is this Saturday, April 29th at Market Common in Myrtle Beach
-There will be music, food, kids events such as bounce castles and of course sitting by the lake watching teams compete for the medals
-The event has been going on for 15 years
-There are over 40 Boats in the race with 21 members per team (20 paddlers and 1 drummer)
-Each Team Member has a goal to raise $250 a piece - and it's not too late to donate!
-There are over 125 students that come to Ground Zero every week
-At the event there will be 2 special Club Teams that are going to put on a demonstration this year at the Festival that will put up times that will show how fast these boats can really go
