It’s a unique episode this week as we celebrate AJ’s 19th birthday. The boys look back at a big week of footy and also look ahead to the World Cup’s thrilling QF stages in a fortnight.

AJ and Rhys review the first round of group games in the long awaited Rugby League World Cup. They look at England’s annihilation of Samoa and question Matt Parish’s future, then switch pace as Fiji push Australia to the limit but still fall short. Sunday’s triple header saw wins for AJ and Rhys’ heritage countries in Italy and Ireland over Scotland and World Cup new boys Jamaica. Plus the Kiwi’s got past Lebanon in a match marred by Adam Doueihi’s send off. As well as the long awaited debut of Greece at the World Cup and they were by far the entertainers. Tonga and PNG dual it out which shows how far PNG has come in the last few years. As well as Wales pushing the Cook Islands all the way. We also have to chat about Des Hasler’s departure from Manly today too.

AJ and Rhys review a great Grand Final day. The boys deliver post-Mortem’s for the Eels and celebrate the success of the Panthers in season 2022. We also recap the State Challenge and NRLW grand finals, as well as the Dally M Medal night. The boys also look at all the World Cup squads that have come in since we last met! We also conclude with our LOLCOW of the Week before announcing our World Cup plans.

AJ and Rhys comprehensively review the preliminary finals which saw Parramatta and Penrith advance to their final date in October. We’ll also recap the NRLW semi finals as well as the relevant state grand finals which confirmed our lineup for GF Day! We also look at the France squad at the World Cup. We analyse Graham Annesley’s briefing and explore why it’s unacceptable to throw the officials under the bus. Plus we award our LOLCOW of the Week and announce some special plans for GF day.

AJ and Rhys review a rather disappointing week 2 of NRL finals action. Canberra were no match for a hot Parramatta side while Cronulla were culled by the Rabbitohs. We look at the upcoming prelim finals as well as the World Cup squads as they’re being released. AJ and Rhys then look at the concerns following Mario Fenech’s emotional tell all on Sunday night on the 7 Network’s Spotlight program. Before we end the week in a comedic fashion looking at the LOLCOW of the week award.

AJ and Rhys review a chaotic start to the finals series. They look at Penrith’s clinical destruction of Parramatta before heading down to Melbourne to see the Storm get eliminated by the mighty Raiders. Then they head off to Shark Park for a 93 minute epic between the Sharks and the Cowboys. Before AJ gives the NRL an almighty spray over the handling of concussion and foul play as his Roosters lose James Tedesco and ultimately the game.

AJ and Rhys review a big final round of the regular season. They review Parramatta’s big win over Melbourne to seal a top 4 birth. Rhys takes a look at Canterbury’s concluding win over Manly and AJ dissects Manly’s demise. AJ gives his assessment of Allianz Stadium and the Chooks big victory. They review Super Saturday where the Titans come from behind to down the Warriors. Rhys takes apart the the Broncos in the wake of their dramatic fall from grace. The lads look at the Cowboys win over the NSW Cup Panthers. Sunday Footy saw the Sharks seal a home final while the Raiders took apart a poor Tigers side by 46 points at Tiger Town. They view the stats that came out of the NRL rule changes this season and the judiciary reforms. Before they conclude the LOLCOW of the Week!

AJ and Rhys review a rather lopsided weekend of footy. It was a bad week in terms of competitiveness with 7 of the 8 games blowing out with teams scoring over 40+ points compounded by the Roosters 72-6 slaughter of the Tigers. Rhys launches a passionate spray at his Broncos side. We also have a new segment called Schuster Watch where we critically analyse the underperforming Josh Schuster.
