One of Canada's largest unions has been on the picket line after working two years without a contract, but with full pay and bonuses for almost everyone. After watching Justin Trudeau sign 3 years worth of blank cheques during the pandemic, the 150 000 workers are demanding better wages, better overtime, and meal allowances. Is this a case of greedy unions sticking their hand in the public coffers? Can Ottawa even afford to pay them what they are asking for?
