In continuation of the last episode where the episode ends with the king explaining to Panchavan Madevi citing the many factors leading to the swaying of a plant but which is always attributed only to the wind. Likewise the kings mindset has many reasons which instigated him to embark on this magnum venture to construct the temple. The queen is enthralled to hear this. After this she bids adieu to the king and moves ahead to give orders to the soldiers.The king instructs Pazhuvettaiyar to tighten security at the castle when the Pandiya soldiers reach there to enact their dance drama. He also thinks about what Nayanmar story he is bound to tell his queens when he meets them. He intends to discuss it with the Thaliserry ladies whom he is going to meet tonight. He eats and slips into a deep slumber.
The scene shifts to the harem where Panchavan Madevi has a slight displeasure about the chief Queen who is not showing interest in the temple work. She also thinks about sending Rajaraji a spy to the Thaliserry ladies place to ensure the safety of the king. She writes a note to Saavurparanjyothi to take care of Rajarajis lodgings.
She bathes and eats . The author gives us an insight into the hamam and other Royal spa treatments offered to the Queen's in that era. Rajaraji enters and the queen gives her the note and asks her to depart. Rajaraji enquires about Saavur Paranjyothi to Muthanaponnangai and learns the following. He is been appointed by the king to safeguard the Thaliserry ladies who are involved in temple work.He is born to an Yavanar clan man and a Gangar devadaasi. He is at present returning back after completing last rites of his mother.
