In this episode the Prince meets his father and tells him about the demise of the Rashtrakuta soldier. The King who is already aware of the news instructs him in a strict tone that such hurdles have to be surpassed, like even if the king dies the Temple Work should be completed at any cost.
Then Paravai Nachiyars Arjun Tapas dance drama unfolds and everyone watches it with utter awe. A scene where a Wild boar is hunted and killed transports us to Narasimha Vanam a harsh forest with un inhabitable conditions. The forest lies at the border separating Lower Chalu kyam from Upper Chalukyam. The Upper Chalukya people have been badly defeated, looted and agonized by The Chola king and his army. They are befriending the Chera brahmans and other neighbouring kingdoms and plotting and training themselves to slay king Rajaraja, the Prince and stop the Temple Work .They want to thus avenge their defeat and the irreparable loses incurred on them by the Cholas. Here a very important life lesson is learnt.Victory and Defeat are not permanent. Both have a cyclical process. People who are defeated work hard to yearn Victory, whereas Victorious people are in constant pressure to sustain their Victory. The Cholas to alleviate this pressure were basking in their Victory.
